Can someone tell me which is true plaese?? Has Lisa been on benefits for years or has she only recentely lost her job as the factory she worked in shut down due to the recession?? If the latter is true then isn't it wrong to be calling her a scrounger?? I feel sorry for people who have lost their jobs as there is very little work around at the moment and if she's been working all her life, isn't she entitled to be on the dole while she tries to get a new one as she would've been paying for other peoples dole the last few years??

There has been discussion in the House where she has made clear that she recently lost her job. She has worked all her life in factory work. She has been working in Pet Rescue whilst seeking new employment.
Equally Marcus was unemployed before he entered the house as he made clear in conversations in the house last week when they were discussing what awaited them when they leave the house.
I see no reason to doubt either of these accounts.

Then why are people making out that she's a scrounger?? The way people were going on about her it sounded like she'd never worked a day in her life and has been taking they're money and spending it on fags etc. Thats not very fair, unfortunately thousands of people have lost their jobs over this feckin' recession and it's something to give sympathy to people over not call them a scrounger???

Simply because there are few mindless haters in the Forum who are not afraid of telling lies to seek to engender hatred amongst other members. Their posts are hugely intemperate and should be ignored.
OMG please not this subject again I had a serious issue with a forum member on this yesterday and many others were offended by his remarks and attitude towards Lisa (both Lisa fans and those who dont like her).

I didn't see that. And I'm not saying anything offensive quite the opposite actually

I know and no offence was meant towards you - just that this subject is in my opinion unappropriate as it attracts very offensive responses from some not so pleasant forum members - Peace:thumbs:

Hopefully impartial evidence from a credible source will stop this mattercoming up again and again.
From Birmingham Mail
FRIENDS of Big Brother punk Lisa Wallace say the main reason she went into the house was to make people laugh.
Pals of the mohican-sporting lesbian, from Kingstanding, say portrayals of her as an unemployed bum are unfair.
The 41-year old former Ladywood Comprehensive school pupil, known to her friends as ‘Punky’, has spent most of her life working in factories.
Pal Denise Ashmore, who met Lisa though a mutual friend more than 20 years ago, said: “Lisa has worked all her life. She hates debt and doesn’t even have a credit card. She has only been unemployed for the last four months and has applied for dozens of jobs. Its not fair that people think she is lazy because she is so hard working. She spent eight years at VDO Automotive on the Holford Estate where she became a supervisor. Her last job before going in to the house was at Birmingham Dog’s Home.”

fair enough! It was just news to me that she'd only recently lost her job and I felt bad that I had just believed people who made out that she'd never worked a day in her life . I will drop it now
