It could have been a hand grenade.... they are going to have to stop people taking stuff in with them.

Yeah you never know with some people.. But I think that was a ghastly thing to do... I mean when someone is evicted they are already sad, why make it worse?

I agree. Throwing things is childish and spiteful. As Red Moon pointed out, it could have been something much more dangerous that they threw. Security didn't seem to do anything about it either.:bored:

Now, there is an idea. We should all email BB to complain about the crowd. Maybe mass emailing will get them to do something to sort it out.

No matter what it was nothing should be thrown at contestants as ita dangerous. But I also seen that Kemal throws a glass of water over contestants as they leave the house (as some sign of good luck) which also could be seen as malicious.

I think with no crowd the show would also be boring. Id just make sure they only let certain people in and not let gangs of people in especially carrying alot of things which could be thrown.

Arneldo

i would like there to be a crowd but if thats the way they are gonna behave then i say no crowd at all!

they should search all the crowd and not allow them have anything with them!

GlitterEyes

No Crowd at all would mean no atmoshpere and that would be crap. Maybe if they just allowed family and friends in instead or something or just make sure they warn everyone on the way in.

There just needs to be guidelines about behaviour. They all get totally carried away.

His dad explained that on BBLB. He doesn't throw the water over them, he throws it behind them as they leave. It is a Turkish tradition apparently, meaning good luck, or safe journey.

When the object(apple perhaps) hit Vanessa, she had a bit of a giggle at that.In my opinion she handled the situation well.

Ruth

She did take it well - I don't think she really clocked what had happened - but even though she took it well, that doesn't excuse the person who threw it.

she may have handled it well but it was till un-nessary

Well it shows that maturity of the very small minority who go to eviction nights.

Here's a screengrab of the object hitting Vanessa. I agree that the crowd reception for housemates at evictions is getting worse each year.

I said it was a lemon, whoever threw needs to take a look at themselves in the mirror and see what a moron they are. I think they should be stricter on the crowds.

I did not see this, as I am having to sit this one out, especially while we have the current CDAG in office :bored:

But anyhue

Complaining to C4 / Endemol does diddly squat, one reason why the CDAG pulled the plug on our involvement in Big Brother.

However, if someone did throw something at the contestant, and it struck them, surely that constitutes an assault. If that were reported to the police, and the police got involved, maybe Endemol / C4 would listen

Also there is the Broadcasting Complaints body, the ITC to try. (If that ever achieves anything)

Disappears back to MacDonalds HQ

It was a tennis ball or an apple. Everyone seems to have the same sort of opinion that this was a stupid thing to do.
