View Full Version : How to get Marcus out the house ASAP

Although I would like to see Marcus win this year I feel that many of the anti-Marcus recently have been a little disapointing and often seem to boost his popularity rather then drop it.
Since I love debate and it is a bore to have such weak opposition I feel that maybe some friendly advice may be in order so that it isnt so easy for his supporters.
Firstly I would advise you avoid calling him a pedo, sex offender and dole claimer as these all lack proof and are tantamount to libel.
Secondly it maybe be an idea to avoid making fun of him living with his mother as there is very little information on this out there and what there is suggests that it may be she living and being looked after by him.
Thirdly whilst good for giggles refering to him as ugly, smelly, stupid and pissypissybumbum face doesnt always give an adult reader the impression that you have given much thought or rational to your reasons for disliking him.
Fourthly making a picture of him with big red devil horns and a pointy beard and blaiming him for all that is evil in the world may also not be the best plan either.
Saying a comment like: "I dont like him just because I dont like him" may work as it is being honest but really doesnt give much to be discussed.
Giving detailed accounts of his actions against past house mates could very well be the way to go you have to remember that they are gone now and many folk no longer care all that much.
Anyhow. Hope this comes in handy. Looking forward to some good posts showing why he really has to be out the house.
Good luck with that.

May I also suggest all Marcus fans point anti-Marcus fans to this thread when ever their arguments dont seem to be holding up in the interests of fair play.
A1: Your threads got me going so long you deserve karma if I could work out how to do it.
A2: Thanks for the offer but I am happy enough with the real life karma Ill get for helping all the anti-Marcus fans out there.

Pompous nonsense! You are all just a bunch of obsessives - who only see what you want to see!
Bit of advice - you have to give good posts - to get them back! Two-way street and all that!:xyxwave:

I do think bumping may be taken as a little adolescent.
I do think though that any Marcus fans out there who feel a post is doing more good to Marcus then harm for a reason not already given they could come here and add it to the list in order to help them along a bit.

Yaijitu - You are correct in all you say, however, as his Mother stated on BBLB yesterday, she actually lives with him, rather than him living with her, so he should be very much admired for that. I am not a Marcus fan, after witnessing the constant nose picking and toenail eating, however the fact that he has given his 67 year old Mum a home is to be commended. He could go on and on about that, but he has never mentioned it to my knowledge, unlike Charlie with his Mother scenario:hugesmile:

Ah thanks guys you are right I have missed a couple more things.
1. Belittling the work of others when they are trying to help can come over as I little overly mean and taking a thread in a manner it wasnt intended for.
2. Insulting other forum members is a big nono as it is against the forum rules and gives the impression you may take everything more seriously then is warranted.
3. Making posts that completely contradict themselves, e.g. "I have one advice" followed by giving two pieces of advice when pedantically criticising another poster allows for them to turn it back on you.
Thanks for the help there.
Maybe over time we can get a thread that can be helpful to all forum users no matter what house mates they support.

You don't know why his mother is living with him - for all you know - maybe he couldn't afford his rent on his own - and it was cheaper for both of them to share! You don't know - so it is not wise to make wild assumptions!

Yes I thought so too seeing it but sadly it does open it to criticism by some cynical folk that having his mum say that was just for show.
He is a bit gross sometimes isnt he.
Though for me stuff like that and what he was recently caught doing just makes him all the more human.
Maybe we should add something along those lines do you think?

Please read the post just above. You are so right thinking possibly the best of him is a mistake as we cannot prove it 100%.
Much as I would love to continue with the help tonight sadly bed calls so everyone thanks so far for the help please do feel free to add more ideas.

As I say at the start this is all trying to give some friendly advice. By all means ignore the lot of it. All I am trying to say is that so far many hate posts, not just against Marcus, seem often to gain the haters animosity rather then respect.
It is after all only a game.

I don't think Marcus needs any help getting evicted,
although,
his 'story' this year might be the number of times he has received help to 'not get evicted'.
Unlikable enough to get nominated but not important enough to be bothered with when there is more important fish to fry.
What do people say every week?
"Marcus can't win anyways but this week is our one chance to get ____ out of the house now!"
Marcus may very well be heading for the 'worst place' there is - the 'Final 3rd-5th place.
The HM ends up having to do the entire stay and doesn't win, doesn't even get the second prize or even third,
yet,
doesn't even get their own Eviction Friday to themselves. They don't even get their own 'Recent HM Week' to be a bit of the story, commentators etc.
It would actually be better for him if he did get evicted this week.
Doesn't look like it.
Once again there seems to be 'bigger fish to fry' and a much bigger story to follow named Bea.
Brad.

I am sure Marcus's reasons for wanting to be voted out earlier on in the series, were due to the fact that he knows full well that being in the final is a way of missing out of all the post-house activity - BBLB and all the media attention. I notice he hasn't mentioned wanting to go this week!

I even noticed that in online forum discussions many fans can more easily remember who was the 1st Evictee,
or,
who were the big players evicted in the game-turning 3/4s mark in the series,
but,
plenty of fans have to really think and google to remember who were the 3rd, 4th and 5th place people who were almost unceremoniously removed at the Final.
Its the worst place as you just kinda get rushed through and pushed off to make way for the next ones.
Oddly enough, Freddy and Bea have a great place. Next week you can bet we get plenty of airtime with them and even their own 'ongoing subplot' on BBLB,
and,
As the most recent evictees they will be sought for the most analysis and commentary,
but,
they get to enjoy it all from a nice hotel room.
Marcus is headed for something like this seasons 'Kat'.
Would have been better to get evicted at the 4 week mark than over-exposed and then annoying and eventually just plain tired of them forever.

Never liked Marcus much but he was bearable and by far not my least favourite HM. However, tonite and the way he spoke about his Mum was unforgivable and disgusting. He should never be allowed to win after that. I have a 17 year old son and he would never dream of speaking about anyone like that especially me. Marcus is supposed to be 35 years old for goodness sake. What impression does that give to our youngsters about respect and politeness?

who cares what children and morrons think?
When making an anti-Marcus thread or post please take note that this isnt necessary the best way to start, fill or end it as to some it could seen as being unduly nasty and could result in something like this:
you shouldnt call your fellow marcus fan such thing!
which may well be seen as far funnier.
Yes Bradley I agree, Taijitu's post were well thought out and expressed. Whether a Marcus fan or not, I agreed with all he said. Glad to see you are a Barnet FC fan - I live in Barnet not far from the ground!!!
Ta. This is also a good example of how we can show support for one another and how possitive posts can make folk feel they arnt wasting their time (even though chances are we are really:laugh:).
I don't think Marcus needs any help getting evicted,
although,
his 'story' this year might be the number of times he has received help to 'not get evicted'.
Unlikable enough to get nominated but not important enough to be bothered with when there is more important fish to fry.

Really would like to go through all that and say something but not enough time today hence why Im up so early. Another day maybe.
Marcus gonna win anyway, sorry
Again I think some part of many people like to see posts in support of house mates even if they can sometimes come over as a little delusional at times. That often just makes them cute.
Yes Marcus is like the new Kat, i think he'll have the same fate as Kat i really doubt he'll win
Whilst reference to past shows most often probably create great connections as people feel they are talking to someone who is also very interested in the show it can sometimes run the risk of making people who missed a series or two or are new to the show wonder what is being said. Few folk like to feel they arnt in the know so this could make them feel insecure and upset.
Never liked Marcus much but he was bearable and by far not my least favourite HM. However, tonite and the way he spoke about his Mum was unforgivable and disgusting. This is a great example of a thought out and to me unbiased argument against Marcus and really worth copying and given time to answer seriously I think.
Unfortunately I didnt see this but I will try to find out what he was saying if I can. My first thought is that he seems to have a pretty unusual sense of humour as does his mum watching her on BBLB. She didnt seem to mind him going onto the show giving her no idea that he was going in. Odd to me aswell but for me what type of relationship she has with him is up to them and she didnt come over as minding. Perhaps she is used to him trying to look cool to his mates and knows he doesnt mean it? Just guessing though as I havnt seen the clips.
I do feel respect for everyone no matter of age or any other group is very important though especially on an emotive forum such as this as we never know past experiences of posters and trying to come over as cooler, cleaver or funnier then others is never worth upsetting someone over something they genuinely feel. (I know this to be true but sadly so often forget it when I post:sad:)
Unless they call you a pissypissybumbum face that is which really isnt on and deserves a very harsh reaction.
learn the difference between then and than.
A good example may be this one for instance. Another problem is it does open the poster up to a reply vying for sympathy for example "I first realised my English isnt that good when I was always at the bottom of the class at school but since then I have managed to get up the confidence to write things others will read as I feel I still have a right to be heard.". Which could have an adverse effect even if it isnt true.
Like the Marcus fans make such good arguments for him
I guess some do some dont just like those for any house mate. In fact perhaps it could suggest that we all have a lot in common regardless who we are rooting for. For some English may just not be their strong point.:bawling:
Well all that said I also think there is a time when threads can die a death. Ive had fun on this one. Hope at least one other person has aswell.
