Do all housemates get paid

Yes there are paid on a weekly basis because they also have a life on the outside so the money they get is to pay their house etc....

I have always wondered if the got pay to do that, because I could not understand that somebody will be in BB for free, especially considering that all the housemates have always been materialist and greedy as their main thing in common...
