"I aren't bovvered about bein' up fa eviction"

"It's the principle Lees"

"Am more of a man than he'll ever be"

"She'll get told Lees, am tellin' ya na"

"Yow ask anyone Lees, am 'onest me Lees"

at the end of the day

basically

what i'm saying to you is....

you can't turn around and say

to my mind

when it all comes down to it

....

It's your basic Jeremy Kyle vocabulary

I didn't get at you for starting a topic. I merely pointed out that "Get xyz out" topics are showing a lack of imagination.

Made that bet yet?

Most of your examples are dialect differences. You could of said exactly the same about Karly and many did but it was judged as her dialect, but with David you attribute this to thickness. A Pint of Snobbery anyone?

Having said that you could of used many quotes that would of justified your point better. Yesterdays BBLB did this and David sounded like a 4 yr old just learning to speak.

he knows himself that he's not the brightest but he's a nice person. having a good education shouldn't be a deciding factor in liking a hm. a bit shallow to be honest

How is it a midland / northern accent is mocked and classed as thick. In my opinion there is nothing worse than an essex accent

Pauly, I'm a northerner myself so I don't think it is snobbery. It's just the predictable drone of predictable things he says. Like somebody said earlier in this thread, he has the vocabulary of a guest on Jeremy Kyle.

His stock statements for each given situation are a sign of his extreme thickness, I can almost guess what he is going to say when he is challenged.

"I've never met anyone like you before Lees, you are one hell of a woman".

Baaarf.

it certainly is snobbery. you see him as inferior because he isn't as articulate as you are. he might not have the vocabulary of someone like Bea but he still gets his point across. he's the most genuine hm in there, in my opinion.

I see your point, but i am not sure that he is as thick as he appeares to be. His communication suggests he has grown up in an environment of poor English speakers, he substitues the phrase "I am" for the word "am" like lazytalk.

Which reminds me of a film called Nell in which Jody Foster played an adult who had lived only hearing her granny talk, her granny having a speech problem she developed a language that no one could understand.

Thats not thick that's learning. Thick is to not understand that Bea is taking the piss out of you. Which in that regard David score's higher than Freddie.

To Bea about Freddie-"You bein so good with your vocals means you can stand up to him." "You were like a young Margaret Thatcher last night."

"This is Big Brother, its not Shaivash. You cant act that way with a job,you cant act that way with Government."

"Bea,theres been more twists on this show than the song twist and shout"

"I may be a queen,but Im a fiesty queen."

"Lees do you think I'm camp?"

To Marcus-"Your a pathetic excuse for a man."

Every 5 minutes-"Thats pathetic!Pathetic!"

"Vivenne Westwood is my God!"

"Later on Il make spaghetti and chips with curry sauce. Now lets get on with the experience of our lifetimes."

(Interviewed by Rodrigo on his BB experience )-"In fact,Ive lived the dream,in fact."

"Im going to mince out the same way I minced in."

To Bea-"Next time your upset I wont be there to be on your shoulder."

oh.really

There is a vast difference between being articulately deficient, and being thick, it's quite obvious that he lacks education, but he is far from thick.

poor old Dave is an easy target

I think he is more emotional than he lets on and he certainly gets flustered in an argument and therefore doesn't make his point as well as he should

I'm all for a bit of snobbery or inverse snobbery but I don't think he derserves the level of ridicule he gets....

if he gets to the final week ..i'm having chips and spaghetti

I don't believe for one minute that Davis is thick. He has already appeared on a game show and he screwed over the other contestant to win the money. David knows full well what he's doing, playing the victim, he's no fool.

David's golden moment was when he described Bea's actions as "selfishism". "It's selfishism Lees," he said. Did anyone else hear this?

I agree that there's a distinction between education and natural intelligence, but unfortunately David has neither.

(Every time I write something about this guy I feel bad. He seems like a really good guy. There's nothing evil about him at all.)
