Booger! My best friend has just phoned to say that he's been dumped, and wants to come round tonight to cry on shoulders, go out for consolatory drinks etc etc. BUT I have been waiting for this Bea eviction moment for at least 3 weeks...
What can I do? it's just not the same watching it later...
I need an excuse that's not going to make me seem like a right unfeeling barstardo...

Tell him he can come around to whinge on the condition that he has to watch BB! Then during the breaks he can complain about his terrible girlfriend but you are allowed to mute him during BB!

Id comfort your pal and record BB - pals last longer and are more important than BB lol. I should have my own show or something.

Simple really. Communicate. Communicate. Communicate with your best friend. Request you stay in with a drink or two and watch the show together then afterwards the best friend can soak your shoulder with tears....A best friend would not expect you to sacrifice something that could wait a couple of hours (crying on the shoulder)

If your friend spoils your night it will be he that is the selfish one.......Maybe the reason he got dumped......

Actually-now I think of it-his ex GF is pretty similar to Bea...
Nah-he needs some good gay best friend bitchin to help him over this. As long as he;s done by 10.30 I don't mind. (I'll also get to cop a feel of his muscles too as he clings to me in tears...)

Tell him to stop being negative about it and that you are "genuinely upset" he won't let it drop...
pretend cry for a few minutes and then put some distance between him ..by moving yourself and the TV into another room

Your friend should come first in this situation. You care more about the gimps on TV or your friend? If you can find a compromise then fair enough, but otherwise get your arse out and be there for your friend.
Force him to watch BB with you. After watching Bea's best bits it will make his problems seem very small
