Just thought it would be appropriate to start a ratings thread for the XF. Got to say, it will be depressing looking at the ratings as it will put BB to shame, but I think that tonights episode will perform very stronly.

I predict 10.7m for tonight. BB will be in trouble tonight (its lucky that Saturdays to bad anyway) because it will be up aggainst The Xtra Factor on ITV2 and The Cube on ITV (which as its on after the XF, will have a huge benefit, but hope The Cube fails ).

The change of format has been advertised, so i think more people will tune in.

OPENING OVERNIGHT RATINGS FOR THE LAST 2 YEARS:

XF4 Audition Show 1- 9.5m
XF5 Audition Show 1- 10.2m (OFFICIAL RATING 10.8M)

I cant see it going down on last years' I'm not sure, but a lot of people seem to be put off by the whole BGT audition theme.

I don't think it will have above 10.5 for the auditions.

BB and the X Factor dont clash. Unless they are watching the Xtra Factor or a + 1 of the show.

9.6mil to be exact lol

I doubt it will effect BB as XF finishes before BB starts.

Xtra Factor was was still on, that usually gets about 1m viewers and most of those are young. Thats the demographic BB are usually short on on Saturdays

Xtra Factor is **** anyway,

Dont see why anyone could Enjoy it more than Big Brother..

I think next year they`ll return to the old auditions that is if the ratings go down...

So when will we have the ratings for last night then?

*mazedsalv**
23-08-2009, 09:27 AM
RATINGS:

9.9M FOR X FACTOR last night.
1.7M FOR BB (very high rating considering Xtra Factor and The Cube for competition)
1.3m for Xtra Factor
5.5m for The Cube at 9:30pm

Lewis.
23-08-2009, 09:30 AM
9.9. Oh god, so not as good then

Stupid Simon and his format changes, he should have just left it alone

Not bad for the show and similar to last years show, the 11.6million peak is amazing though. I'm expecting next week to be a little down though
I'm happy with The Cube ratings more, thats such a good show

Tom

9.9m is quite disappointing. With all the attention its had maybe the bubble has now burst or people are just sick of talent shows after BGT

Harry!
23-08-2009, 10:16 AM
9.9, Thats not even 10! I guess it beats series 4.

*mazedsalv**
23-08-2009, 04:00 PM
9.9m may be very high, but the feedback of the new format has been overwhelmingly negative, on the internet, on the newspapers, we could see a drastic decline maybe?

Brad.
23-08-2009, 05:27 PM
I think a series average of 10m is likely

Like BB. When they changed the format [Life Feed, Intervews ext] their raitings declined. Maybe that will happen to XF?

No, 9.9 is very good. The ratings won't decline because everybody knows it's still unmissable Saturday night TV. Without making excuses, yesterday was very hot and one of the warmest in a while.

It peaked at 11 million too, which just proves that a lot of people at some point were watching.

By the time of the 5th audition show, i think the ratings will be down to about 9.2m

No it isn't. It's the second highest opening audience ever on XF.

15 minute averages:

X Factor:

2000: 8.9m
2015: 9.1m
2030: 9.3m
2045: 10.0m
2100: 9.1m
2115: 5.3m

SCD:

1930: 7m
1945: 8.1m
2000: 7.8m
2015: 8.0m
2030: 7.8m
2045: 7.7m
2100: 7.7m

So to me it looks like 9.2m average for the X Factor and 7.7m for SCD by looking at this! Will post the actual average when they are posted.

In 2 weeks time, a massive clash will happen, SCD will be on for about 2h30 mins so it will dent so much of itself as TXF go from boot camp to judges houses.

But even though TXF beat SCD, a fantastic effort to get around 7.7m for SCD

I love the Cube. That is such a good show. I love the new format of the x factor as well.

*mazedsalv**
20-09-2009, 09:23 AM
SCD wil be dissapointed with themselves, when they used to clash SCD came out on top with around 2m more than XF, if SCD is failing now during audition shows, imagine when TXF gets to the live shows!

All the X Factor Ratings so far:

Audition 1- 9.91m
Audition 2- 9.75m
Audition 3- 11.76m
Audition 4- 10.26m
Audition 5- 9.27m
Audition 6- 10.52m

Bootcamp 1- 9.05m
Bootcamp 2- 10.87m
Judges Houses 1- 10.12m
Judges Houses 2- 12.38m

Live Show 1- 11.31m
Live Show 1 Results- 13.00m (2nd highest rating ever I think)

So in a word, the ratings are outstanding!! 13m for the first result show is brilliant!! As Whitney is performing next week we could see 14m+!!
