View Full Version : Rodrigo Rodrigo = Aggressor, Bully, Lunatic, Offensive, Disrespectful, Freak, Threatening ...

But why do some people turn a blind eye to his antics just because he covers up all his aggressive lunacy, by being a camp little boy?!
Time and time again he's reacted crazily to the tiniest of issues, been aggressive for little reason, threatened others, thrown water at others, poured oil onto people's beds (WTF?!), screamed in people's faces ... the list is pretty much endless.
If Marcus did 1/10th of what Rodders did, he'd have been booted out by now. Rodrigo has zero temper control and just goes wild, he's a menace and an actual threat to the HMs at times!
This maniac hides behind the cute, innocent, fluffy little camp boy persona rather well.
What do you guys think of Rodders? I think this 'but he got provoked' BS has been a cover-up. Everyone gets teased a little, has been joked about, faces issues, etc. He's an utter freak IMO.

He's definitely got a temper problem but I find him funny more than anything because I just can't take him seriously.
I do agree with what you say about the bottle throwing incident, and the pouring of the oil on the beds etc, he should have at the least got a warning for that.
Charlie does wind him up to get a reaction a LOT, but Rodrigo is meant to be a 24 year old MAN, not a child, so he should have the maturity to rise above it, and he can't make the excuse of being Brazilian and having a firey temper either, because I have Italian blood and it doesn't make me erupt every time something doesn't go my way lol.

Pile of pish imo.
He's a great housemate and big brother has had every argument under control..rodrigo has also been able to refrain from hitting anyone even when he has been under much stress from the jibes and disruption from charlie.

I totally disagree with your post. Rodrigo is no way agressive. He has a temper when provoked. Most of the arguments he has been involved in have been instigated by Charlie pushing things to far and often using agression against him ie when Charlie manhandled him to get him in the pool.
I think Rodrigo handles arguments very well. He often thinks about them afterwards and has the ability to laugh at himself and apoligise if he thinks he was in the wrong. a very nice trait.
I want Rodrigo to win as he has entertained me the most. He is genuine, an individual that forms his own opinions and is not led by others,a very good friend, feisty and never scared to voice an opinion sometimes to his detriment, and he is extremely cute.
What more can you want in a winner!

He actually scares me. I would honestly be scared to be near him when he loses his temper.
If he wasnt so 'cute' looking I doubt he would have gotten away with as much as he has. Just think.. if it was Marcus acting that way, would they have let him get away with it? No ways

You are quite right. Even "harmless" little fluffy queens can be very unhinged and dangerous.
How he ever got beyond the BB Psychologists is a mystery. He has more than extreme anger issues, he is potentially a very violent individual with clear mental health issues.

Exactly, because he hides behind the facade of a camp, innocent, fluffy little boy, he gets away with some of the despicable acts he does.
Seriously, throwing water in people's faces, pouring oil on beds, threatening people, screaming in their faces, etc? Utter fcking joke.

Ohhh yes, bit of joking around and teasing, what thunderous provocation ehh?
That's the pathetic excuses people come up with. Nobody is allowed to say a single thing around him because he'll erupt and play the 'provocation card'.

ok, so when he is being forced into the pool by 3 other housemates as he shouts no no...thats ok then, he shouldn't react.
Or when someones throwing water in his bed...he shouldn't react right..
or when someones slapping him repeatedly ont he face as he says no no..he shouldn't react right !
as he lies in bed asleep and 3 housemates suddenly dump themselves on top of him he shouldn't react right !!

But no one has done anything to Marcus like Charlie has done to rodrigo. That is the point. A lot of Roddys arguments have come from Charlie not knowing when enough is enough. Rodrigo has often screamed no at him and he has carried on manhandling him or yelling.
Hence why Roddy gets so frustrated with BB. He has actually called out to them to step in but has been ignored.

Pouring oil on someone's bed? Throwing water at people? Threatening friends at night because they are partying and drunk?

With regard to pool and partying. OK if you want to do that but please respect someone that doesn't.

Yes, because he's a little freak with a temper-control problem. It's a circular problem that feeds itself and grows out of control.
Everyone is treading on egg shells around him. He should have had official warnings by now. Marcus got one for absolutely sod all.
Rodders has threatened people, screamed in their faces over NOTHING (shopping ffs!) and poured oil spitefully on Charlie's bed.

I do agree with that. Charlie deliberately winds Rodders up because he knows the reaction he will get. I actually think Charlie is trying to get Rodrigo thrown out or something because if you knew your so called friend has a problem with their temper, you wouldn't deliberately bait them would you?

They are in regards to if they cared about whether he flipped out or not. The slightest perturbation causes him to go totally psycho.
But yes, they don't, and why should they? Why go out of your way to accommodate for an utter freak in the house? They shouldn't. It's his issue, his temper control problem, his freakiness ...
And they hardly have to wind him up. Asking him to shut up to do shopping? Being drunk at night? Please, if everyone reacted like Rod did to such trivial things, the ENTIRE WORLD would self-destruct!

If you're talking about physical aggression then I agree with you, mostly. But I think the OP was talking more about his mannerisms, and there you can't dispute that he's aggressive. I've seen him start arguments, shouting, overtalking/overshouting people, drilling in his point and not listening, accusing, pointing his finger in peoples faces, invading peoples personal space while attacking them (verbally), drawing other people in to support his attacks, its all aggressive behaviour. OK I wouldn't feel at all physically intimidated by him and I'm sure none of the housemates do, its not that kind of aggression. He's got a hot temper which is a childish reflex to things HE doesn't like. He is young though, and being on BB for what 11 weeks? that'll push anyones restraint. I don't like him much, but he's got his qualities and he's a contender to win. Fair play if he does.

Its not isolated incidents, its a build of piss taking gone too far and not being listened to (regarding the shopping) over weeks!

You do have a point, but I still don't see it as justification for the huge array of issues he has, and over-stepping the mark MASSIVELY on many occassions. He's still waaay into the wrong IMO. Like I said, his issues also fuel the problem too, it's circular, and grows.

Its immature and he is hot tempered, something he needs to learn to tame for sure, but he isnt in the slightest bit intimidating with it for the reasons Ive mentioned and although its quite extreme reactions I think hes only been aggressive a couple of times with Charlie after Charlie has taken things too far with him

I agree with that, but that's because he's a camp frail pretty boy. Put that mindset into a more masculine, imposing person e.g.) Marcus, and he'd have been booted out and ostracized by the media ages ago.

You cant compare the two, theyre different people. Rodrigo might not be that way if he'd had more of a voice and been more powerful in the group

Good point, perhaps he's compensating for his more frail, feminine self. Maybe it's his way of stepping up and trying to be more imposing!

Rodrigos flies under the radar every week because the others think of him as 'the baby of the house'. They forgive his tantrums as they think of him as an annoying little brother. He has serious mental issues, imo, and doesnt deserve to reach the final.

I'm guessing the production team like the flare-ups.
Hi i agree little freak i think people like marcus and siavash have done well not to give the little freak a good slap , he would certainly get one in the real world Originally posted by AhmedFan2004
I would love him to come round mine and tell me to sut up you sut up little weirdo

The boy needs anger management, he is totally out of control at times, apologising the next day is too late, he needs to get a grip.

So when Marcus told him to shut up at the table when he was putting Marcus off the shopping list and Rodrigo goes into another "don't tell me to shut up, don't ever tell me to shut up, who is this guy?, you idiot, you idiot......" is no way aggressve?:sleep::sleep:
Drama queen....

He comes across as one of them knob head's but again, he argues, defends his corner and fair play in that regard but he then makes up the next day and i can relate to that in many ways. I have no doubt many people on here argue with family members and then make up straight away or a few hours later or the next morning.
Roddy DOES have anger issues, but that's never been anything he denies. Charlie has added fuel to his fire for weeks, and Rodrigo even said that Charlie knows how angry he gets, and doesn't care.
There have been times when Roddy's been out of order I won't deny that - the throwing of water and oil was uncalled for, but Charlie must be so irritating to live with.
Plus as a lot of people (including the housemates) have said for weeks, it's one trying to get the better of the other.

If he wasnt so 'cute' looking I doubt he would have gotten away with as much as he has. Just think.. if it was Marcus acting that way, would they have let him get away with it? No ways
If you were married to him? would you be in the position that you tell yourself that "well he's cute..and I love him when he's so cute" whilst still waiting for him to lose it again? I would be scared too.

For start Rodrigo is not a boy. He is a man of 23 (24 later this year I think). He is older than Charlie and Sophie and the same age as Siavash.
He seems to have an authoritarian streak to him. He reminds me of one of our art teachers when I was at school (many years ago!) The chap was about the same height/build as Rodrigo and was, I think, Spanish in origin. he too had a habit of shouting and pointing if any of us transgressed. Despite his small stature, everyone was terrified of him!
You gotta bear in mind he has a different culture to the others, and so he probably doesn't appreciate a lot of the antics.
