He makes out he's Siavash's best friend and then goes and bitches about him in The Diary Room. I doubt if Siavash would want to speak to him ever again when he gets to see what Marcus has been saying about him behind his back.

He did exactly the same with Bea, he was nice to her face then went and slagged her off behind her back.

No I think you will find that Siavash knows fully well that Marcus has taken him off his christmas card list. It is quite clear that they are not best buddies anymore. I don't think any of the 3 nerds are friends with eachother or loyal to each other. It was just a mutual convenience to chat together and discuss ways of trying to compete against the others who actually had bonded.

For example, Freddie was happy to leave Marcus isolated and depressed as long as he had a shot at getting into Bea's pants. He didn't care.

Ironically, Bea was more compassionate to the three of them, lol.

On the launch I was laughing with everyone else about a real life 'Comic Book Guy' going into the house,
yet,
l also wanted to like Marcus because I suspected he might be one of the only 'real people' types and maybe one of the few who was not a talent agency referral.
Maybe a 35 year old world of warcraft geek living with Mum but how refreshing.
but,
I was wrong.
First off, he is more a 'wannabe reality show contestant' than nearly anyone else (except N and Isaac who actually are semi-pros),
and,
Marcus, it turns out, is as obsessed with his looks and appearance and how he comes across to the audience as much or more than any models,
and,
he is the worst kind of cowardly bully. The one who threatens and intimidates middle-aged women and 120lb uni students.. ..and even then only if he knows everyone else hates them too and he is sadistic about it too.
and,
He is easily one of the biggest hypocrites I have seen on this program.
Maybe we all are but Marcus is a blatant hypocrite. He is the worst kind of hypocrite that does not just claim one thing but do another but he also blames and vilifies and 'projects' it onto someone else!

The OP has is bang on. Marcus will stand there in a room and to the cameras and 'declare' the shame and problem of weaklings who are friendly to your face but 2 minutes later scurry off into the corners and gossip about the person,
yet,
I have actually seen Marcus saying that... and 2 minutes later.. MARCUS scurries outside, finds confidants in the corner of the garden and starts whispering spiteful resentments and gossips about someone he was just pretending to be friendly with.
HE is the one who does that! Marcus is as guilty or even more guilty than anyone else.
Of course it doesn't apply to him.

Add to that so much ongoing sleaziness, sneakiness, the unnecessary lying, backbiting,
and,
all you need to do is rewind to the scene where Freddy and company are going to gang up on David and Lisa and taunt them.
Freddy may seem like the worst right?
But,
At least Freddy went in FIRST to gang up and start the taunting.
Watch Marcy. The little coward hangs back and waits until everyone has cornered them and THEN he goes in,
and,
Waits till Lisa leaves and David is now totally cornered and THEN he just has the most sadistic thrill.
Even worse is that David actually won that battle yet Marcus promptly retells the account as if HE was the 'winner'.
The last part I just find pathetic more than offensive.

I know Davina wants a 'journey' story so bad she can start to see it in anything.
I ALSO said at the beginning a great story would be Marcus having a 'journey' that ends in him growing up, cutting the hair and pledging to start being real,
but,
The problem is you can't tell with him. He is very very much infatuated with this game and how to manipulate stories and what will have him winning.
So if he starts acting like the nice guy now.. I wouldn't even know to trust him.
I'd assume its part of what he is copying from previous seasons he studied.

Even though I like Marcus, I think he's far too calculating. If he were a friend I wouldnt trust him cos you never know what he's actually thinking of you. Siavash thinks he likes him but I Marcus has kept him at a distance since there fallout over Boirin.
