View Full Version : Why Sophie is popular

It infuriates me that people like her. It really does. I detest her because she is so unintelligent, shallow, vacuous and common. The vacant smile on her face, the way she says 'HIIII' when she is in the diary room, her fake breasts, her inability to have a sensible, sensitive conversation.

So why is she popular?

The answer is simple, my friends. She is common but inoffensive to the general public. She is not a blatant back stabber, she does it subtly. She has a thin veneer of seeming decent.

Now take the public at large. They are also common. (The very definition of the word 'common' is the average guy in society). She likes to drink. Most of the public like to drink. She looks like what so many other girls look like, hence she is seen as sexy and stylish. She thinks and acts like a bimbo. But then, so many girls in society are like that. I can't go out socialising without coming across vacnat air heads who look exactly like Sophie and are so obssessed with materialistic things.

She will win because she is most in keeping with what society thinks of as cool as she is a product of her society through and through, without questioning things and having any individuality (like Marcus for example).

She is better than that superficial fat little hypocrite Marcus who spent half the series sulking around in a duvet and acting like a 17 year old fat boy pretending to be an imaginary 'tough guy anti-hero'.
or,
doing his C-grade impersonation of BB9 Rex. Not very well either.

I didn't start the thread for an attack on Marcus, and actually I wasn;t really attacking Sophie, just explaining my dislike and why the country likes her, so your post is a bit irrelevent. I was hoping you may address the subject of my original post.

informal urbanspeak that's less crude… :spin2:

edit: If Sophie looked like Bea she wouldn't be nearly as popular.

She is so popular because she represents a mirror image to what most of her fan base is made up of. People are often drawn to what they are like themselves. So ...

; )
