Simple question really. As a father of a young girl myself, my answer is a foregone conclusion. What do others think?

No, but tbh none of the characters in there are good role models.

God no. She's not a bad person - quite a sweet girl. But she's promoting the whole "boobs out for the lads", blonde bimbo image and I wouldn't want my daughter to think that that was ok.

Yeah let's have all teenagers thinking:
I want to have a boob job and have naked pictures of myself all over the internet.

Let me think...she's had a boob job, she gets drunk and degrades herself. She wants to appear in lads mags. She's a brilliant role model.

I was thinking of the trend for teen girls to become plastic glamour models with large silicone implants so they can be 'validated' by men in mags. That is just sad.
I find her to be a sad individual really. Seems like a nice enough girl and all that. But she and others turn themselves into a product which is very shallow and empty in the long run.
That is my opinion anyway.

i don't think it's fair to say that any of the hm should be good role models. it's a tv show.
it's up to us as parents to be good role models for our children and educate them on what's really important in life

If getting drunk on tv and acting completely thick is a good role model then yeah she's bang on.

I dont think she has any intent on being a role model though.

You know what, I'm not overly keen on Sophie myself, but she doesn't have a duty to be a good role-model to young girls, she's just a reality-TV contestant. How about parents actually, y'know, parent their kids so that they have a good enough sense of self-worth not to copy people just because they're on the telly, instead of passing the buck?

Welll maybe sophie should be a role model to kids in 10-20 yrs time about how she was a victim of the media portrayal that she felt that she needed to be?
Yes the responsibility is not hers, it lies in the media. That is something worth thinking about.

Marcus would be a great role model, who wouldn't want to be an irrepressible darkhorse when they're older? Make sure to buy some Marcus posters to stick up.

Well Marcus seems quite real to me. The rest seem like fakes in one way or another. Plus oddly I find Lisa to be real as well.

I also have a little girl, and perish the thought she looks on anyone like Sophie as a role model, but my daughter is smarter than Sophie already and she's only 6,I don't want my girl to be false,so NO Sophie is NOT a good role model at all.:yuk:

:laugh3: Where do you get these emoticons from?
And to answer the OP, no I don't think Sophie is a good role model but I don't think anyone should be looking to a TV reality show to find role models anyway tbh.

Genuine...! fake tits and a need to star in mags, with several money hungry agents waiting on the outside? The Marcus as a role model is irrelivent really and indeed a ridiculous agrument on your part.
