really does my head in when people go on about how she's a scrounger and how 'we the taxpayer fund her every meal'. benefits are there to help people out of work. if people have a problem with that they should take it up with the government

Technically Lisa is a benefit cheat because the conditions of her job seekers agreement would state that she must be available and actively looking for work. On her VT she said that she had no intention of working and when they showed her daily schedule it contained no job seeking whatsoever.

It is no different to millions of other unemployed though, as many don't work until it is forced on them.
