Well done marcus for not bowing to the pressure and conforming like a lap dog to BB
The difference between him and siavash was siavash only had to give up his clothes and siavash is happy wearing womens clothes anyway so I dont think he gave up much.
But with marcus its a personal identity thing his ponytail which probably took him a great deal of time to grow is part of his idnetity what he feels comfortable with.
Why didnt they ask siavash to cut his hair?? Im sure he wouldnt have agreed to that
I applaud marcus well done

Siavash's clothes are a major part of his identity too
He has faced a lot of slack because of the clothes he wears.. even his own father wont speak to him because of how he dresses.
Still, Siavash continues to wear those clothes because they are part of who he is.
And still he sacrificed them for the benefit of the group... knowing full well he has little chance of winning the money.

Just when I thought Marcus' legendary status couldnt get any greater he does this.If Marcus had aquiesed to this everything he'd done for the previous 12 weeks would've counted for nothing-he'd have been exposed as a fraud. The fact that most people would probably pay 10 grand not to have that pony tail on their head makes it even more heroic.Mans gotta win now.

Lisa asked Siavash if he would have cut his hair off if they asked and he said yes.
I do agree that asking Marcus to cut his ponytail off is a big deal to him personally, but so are Siavash's clothes to him.

BB knew that Marcus would refuse...Theyr'e just trying to fit him up to have a bad edit,
and then get rid of him on Friday. Another chance for Siavash to come across the Martyr. And I'm sure he'll make the most of it. Marcus isn't bothered about 'looking good for the public' he's being himself,, and alway's has. Like it or lump it.

I think Vash is just very comfortable in his own skin and isn't worried about making a bit of a fool of himself. He does dress in a bizarre fashion by most people's standards anyway so it wouldn't bother him wearing things that other people may find uncomfortable. I don't think just Siavash would have been prepared to dress like that though so it's a bit unfair to say, well that's an easy option for him personally.
I do agree that it's easier in hindsight to say you WOULD have done something, and I do understand that cutting his ponytail would be a big deal for Marcus, but he DID say weeks ago that he would shave all his hair off because he wasn't that bothered about it, and that was without the offer of money being on the table.

Macus lose hair=spend months growing it again. Possible result enrichen snivelling bastards who Week after Week have conspired to prevent him winning any dosh.
Good choice Marcus.

Siavash was asked to hand over what he considers is a major part part of his identity for the remainder of his duration in the house.
Marcus was asked to remove his ponytail which he also would consider part of his identity, however the ponytail would take months to grow back.
Would Siavash have shaved his head and beard off if marcus had been asked to change his style of dress?
The two things are not the same, shame on you BB for attempting to manipulate the naive with this ridiculous ploy to make Siavash look good and Marcus look like bad.
It could be said Marcus stood his ground and stood by his principles, Siavash *****d himself.

Marcus said that but didnt actually mean it, he told freddie he wouldnt have done it lol
But what I find strabge is siavash tells people in there his father doesnt approve of the way he dresses and acts etc And he said he hoped this made him proud him being on the show, yet he goes and at the drop of a hat dresses like a woman?? thats strange
Either he wants to make him proud or he doesnt its quite conflicting that really
I used to like siavash but the recent not care attitude about others getting into trouble if he didnt nom and the cheating on his girlfriend thing put me off him.
I think it will be a close vote tommorrow but for sheer entertainment value marcus is more entertaining.

I don't! I think it is pretty obvious why they asked Marcus and not Siavash to cut his hair - because it looks a state!
They are trying to tell him - but he isn't getting the message!
Siavash has good hair and it suits him! Marcus doesn't have good hair, it doesn't suit him - he is too old! He has bad taste and cannot see how awful it looks!
bb are trying to do the idiot a favour - just too stupid to get it!

That is an utterly preposterous post. You can't honestly believe that, surely.

I totally agree with you. And it's partly akin to the sheer principle... I didn't see much team effort coming from Charlie and Rodrigo when Siavash suggested they devise a way for every housemate to go up for eviction this Fri... Double standards completely.
Now I haven't seen or read much info re tonights HLs so I don't know the full details. The only clip I saw was Marcus in the diary room, and Charlies face at his refusal.

Marcus could of easily of said yes and had his hair cut to gain more popularity with the public but he stayed genuine and refused. It takes months to get that hair back also.Siavash is a sham and not genuine at all.
Marcus is the only genuine house mate in there atm.
