I'm going to my doctor tommorow to basically find out if it is terminal :( I'm actually really nervous, that's why I'm babbling on about cancer etc.

i hope everything works out ok. i know stomach cancer is really bad.

my mum died of cancer in 2001, one of the secondery cancers was bone cancer. she went into remission for a few years, but it came back even worse. it was horrible.

my dad also died 2 years ago, not of cancer, but he had cancer and didn't tell us.

it's such a horrible disease. there;s nothing anyone can say to you that will make you feel better, but talking about it might. just offloading to people on the internet could make you feel a bit more content. i'd also try looking up forums specifically for cancer sufferers like yourself so you could share you're experiences and feelings

all the best!!

i know!! it was april 2001 she died. it seems like yesterday, but so long ago at the same time!!

i was pregnant when she died, so every year my little girl gets a year older i'm reminded by how long ago it was.

can i ask a question?? do you have a problem visiting her grave?? i do. i've only been 4 times coz it rips me apart. i'm fine the rest of the time, but the cemetery just gets to me.

I don't go up to the grave because it gets me upset and angry and just gets to me for days.....the last time I went was about 3 or 4 years ago, maybe it will be different now but i'm not sure if i'll go soon......

Yeah I get what you mean about seeming so long ago and then not so long ago, sometimes I forget then i'm like what the hell it cant be that long ago....

I always remember though just around 9/11, it's like an alarm to me...

I can't even start to try and comprehend your situation. I do hope though that you receive some news of hope tomorrow and that it is treatable.

Hi biglover. Hope you get some positive news. Ihad major surgery 3 yrs ago to remove a a pancreatic cancer. Not a nice thing to have . Survival rates to 5 yrs post op only 20 per cent. 16 mths ago told cancer had spread to my lung and that I should get my affairs in order as it ia fairly aggressive. and prognosis was weeks mabe a afew months. Well Im still aloive and kicking. They now think the tumour in my lung may be a new primary tumour and not spread as first thought. Iam going into hospital this week to have some tests to enable them to decide whether or not to remove a alobe of my lung. What will be ,will be .My advice to anyone would be to live life in short spells .Y. ou dont know what lies round the corner Do something you enjoy everyday and be nice.Be glad for what you have had.,Cancer seems to touch so many families. You will find you are certainly not alone

Im really annoyed for TiBB not making this a thread which stays at the top of general chat e.g. the breast cancer thread etc. especially now that ive found out my cancer is worse than ever before and really want to talk to other members about it, preferably those who have cancer or have recently experienced a death caused by cancer

In fairness this board is going through changes. Also it's not a health board and a lot of the mebers on here are pretty young.

I'll gladly talk to you about though.....

Hope your okay though.:wavey:
