surely there are more pro marcus threads than there are anti marcus?i may be wrong but it sure seems like marcus fans over run this forum,then complain when a negative thread is made against him?

Its a fact marcus posts make up nearly the entire forum, he is the most talked about hosuemate this year he has surpassed the freddie hysteria now by a mile.

Personally, I think there is a massive difference between posting positive threads and posting negative threads.

I am proud to say that I do not post what people would perceive as "hater" threads. I do occasionally post criticisms of Housemates in response to questions or in response to specific events which are put up for discussion.

To be honest, the sheer obsessiveness and repetitiveness of it is becoming tiresome. It is not as if "hater threads" ever contain any reasoned criticism. They are pretty much the lowest quality threads on this forum.

TintedShadow it's not readdressing the balance. If a marcus fans writes a pro thread than the best way is to post a pro thread of their own, not a hate thread.

No its not redressing the balance in relation to the Pro and Anti Marcus posts. There are few posters who pretty much without exception post along the same lines, all anti Marcus. The reason why there is so much reaction to Marcus in the first place is that he is what Davina et.al describe as a big character. Fair enough he evokes a strong reaction from some posters but to carry on the campaign to extremes is worrying.

There are some really pointless threads occurring from both sides. A thread saying "How boring is Siavash" and "How vile is Marcus" adds nothing to this forum - there's many like it before, they don't introduce new debate, or ideas. say a marcus fan comes on here and says something about someone else's favoured housemate,perhaps makes a anti siavash thread,those would be the same who moan when an anti marcus thread is made,so if its fair play for marcus fans,then the same rules should apply..

once again,with respect what i was saying is marcus may have his moments,but when he so much as raises his arm and sniffs his arm pit there will be a thread about it,like you'll see a thread saying "omg he sniffed his armpit,LEGEND" .. if siavash had done this,there wouldnt be a thread like that from siavash fans,furthermore if there was marcus fans would jump in to dispute how boring he is..

its all about freedom of speach,and the forum is big enough for it,so if marcus fans can post anti threads about someone else's favoured housemate,then your likely to see some anti marcus threads for much the same reasons..

the only reason there may seem like theres more anti marcus threads,is marcus supports are campaigning just as siavash fans are,yet they (and i dont mean all of them) but a good few feel the need to berate siavash and his supporters,so marcus in turn will recieve more anti threads,not to worry theres only potentially two more weeks at most of this hysteria..

best thing to do is just steer clear of the anti marcus threads..perhaps a mod will step in if things get out of hand.

I would not particularly class a "Get [Housemate] Out" thread as a hate thread. It depends on the actual content.

I mean, I want Siavash out this week even though I have liked him all the way through the series and still would not mind seeing him win the whole show. It is just the product of an unfortunate eviction circumstance.
