Marcus did his 'training' in the house - although obviously not that effective! He is just out of shape generally - and therefore not the strong man type he makes himself out to be!

And that is a prime example of being too dull to understand the person that Marcus is. He is simply an honest bloke who portrays himself, character deficiencies he has are exagerated to provide entertainment.

However as he showed at his eviction he does care for people and he does respect people.
