Davina is an Awful Host

And why the hell did BB invite good old John McCririck if all they were going to do was silence him?

I can't stand Davina's stupid jokes and the idiotic audience who laughs along with her either. I think John McCririck should take over permenantly as host as a) he tells it straight and b) he is PURE entertainment, unlike Diva Davina, the most useless and talentless presenter on earth.

If you mean Gretel, she had her moments too. Telling someone like Dean 05, easily the worst housemate ever, that he was a great housemate, giving him a soft interview. I liked her, I like Davina too, but she could be inconsistent too, same as Davina.

I can't believe the producers went on and on with her, when they really should have brought back the people who are naturally funny. Shes got a big talent show coming up for Sky1 based on dancing. Good production company behind it and they're putting a lot of money into it.

My heart sinks every time I see John M too. He starts with the hard line, but by the end of the show, he and evictee are always best buddies.

Some guest hosts last year were truely awful, but some were excellent: it's where I "discovered" Michael McIntyre, for which I am always greatful :thumbs:

Noone on TV is irreplaceable, just look at what Simon does to X Factor. Noone thought it could survive without Kate. It did. Noone thought it could survive without Sharon. It did. But I think the longer a host stays with a show, especially when you're so associated with a show, the harder it is to replace them. I do like Davina but they should have axed her after BB4 in time for the BB5 relaunch when she was one of ITV's golden girls, and if BB has any long term future Davina has to go. But because its the end next year, she might as well see the show out. This has not been her best year at all and although I've liked her on Big Mouth, I don't want her to do it next year.

Gretal started off really good but eventually ended up probably worse than Davina. She had her favorites, which were usually the "cool groups", and grilled the people she didn't like when they didn't deserve it. Her downfall was being caught dating one of the ex-HM'sm 20 years younger than her, by the media. Besides being unprofessional the guy was one of the biggest tossers of the BB series.

Wannabe HM's, a BB who was a wanker and Gretal killed the show over here. The first series was the best when no one knew they would be famous from the show and the HM's were "normal" every day people. I can see the UK BB going down the exact same path. The Australian public are too intelligent to be fed utter BS.

One thing about our BB though is most years the prize money was $1mill, bout 500k pounds in your cash. 100k prize money is pathetic!
