The funny thing in all this - you just know David would be one of the most dedicated hyper-dedicated irrepressible employees in the entire franchise and will end up Employee of The Decade. 6 years from now you could ask for a scarf and he will still be BEYOND THRILLED to get you that scarf and then delight over the sale the rest of the day lmfao!
Ahh Bless - Final of BB, letter from VW - birthday to remember. Have a good one David!

When Big Brother summoned David to the Diary Room, he was probably expecting it – it was his birthday after all. But nothing – and Big Brother means NOTHING – could have prepared him for what was waiting for him…
"It's amazing to wake up on your birthday in the Big Brother House," said a giggly David as he sat down.
"Happy Birthday David!" said Big Brother, "in front of you is an envelope – please open the envelope and read the letter inside aloud."
And so David did as he was instructed.
"Dear David," David read out.
"There you are on TV and sometimes wearing my clothes and telling everyone how cool they make you feel. I'm really pleased. It's a big compliment. I wish you luck with the show. Whatever the outcome, please get in touch with me on your release. I want to talk to you about my manifesto: Active Resistance to Propaganda – AR for short. Being a fashion lover is a good start for AR – then you become an art lover, then a freedom-fighter.
Good Luck with the Show!
Vivienne"
Big Brother struggled to hold back the tears, but that was too much of a tall order for David.
"Thank you so much Vivienne, I'll treasure this," sobbed David.
Big Brother tried to get David to reveal how he was feeling. "She's an amazing woman, she's written me this and it means a load," replied David. "Fashion would not be the same without her," he added.
Wow. Just, wow…

While I would not wish David to win, I'd prefer him over the obvious fakes, vitriolic nasties and sickly sweeties. Oh..........think that actualy puts David at the top of my list to win!
Need to re-review that list.......

I think it's quite moving that he feels so touched by fashion, i don't understand it myself but it would be ignorant of me to mock it when i would give such importance to other forms of "art". So nice one and i hope it's a genuine letter and so on.

Post from Digital Spy:
Whilst this is going to make David happy, I suspect that Vivienne's motives aren't really about wishing David happy birthday........
If anybody saw her recent appearance on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross, they'll know that - especially at the moment - she is making a lot of appearances to promote her manifesto, in essence 'hijacking' her status as a fashion designer to voice her opinions. Recently she has been campaigning the theories of environmentalist James Lovelock - about climate change, about how we're all headed straight for the dumper - and like Jonathan Ross, I think she will have seen Big Brother as a great opportunity to get her message out to those who might never have shown any interest. Hence her making a big point of mentioning her manifesto, the Active Resistance.
 I don't know who this Westwood person is -- fashion designer? -- but it seems to me (and the guy I quoted) that she simply used this to gain some free publicity -- she's supposed to be wishing David happy birthday, not blowing her trumpet about some shitty campaign -- does anybody here honestly think David has a clue, or even cares, about climate change and all that stuff?
What a bizarre idea that one can hijack one's own status!!! Oh well, I guess the doubters will always clutch at straws! She has strong and well founded beliefs and has every right to expound them through any channel available to her. Just as eggdavid continues to explound his/hers through the limited channels he/she has access to.

You use the word 'continues' even though I've only made one post in this thread stating my opinion that she used this for some free publicity. Keep it up, genius.
And you've NEVER expressed an opinion on anything in here before? Yes, I thought so! I'm sure you will continue to too.

hah ah a i do not think for one minute VW needs the "publicity" and hardly from a show such as BB believe me
She is not only a cult phenominon she is one the the most respected designers on the planet!! Sex and the City movie anyone? When Carrie slips into "the dress" and its a VW!!
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm I think BB is the platform she is looking for to boost her brand!!

I was referring specifically to my opinion of Westwood, I'm not talking about general ones. You were acting as if I'd continue to rant about her outside of this thread. This may come as a shock to you, but Westwood's garbage campaign is of little importance to anybody, which is why she had to mention it in a letter to David for some free publicity -- this is the first I've heard of it, so it clearly isn't mentioned often in the news or whatever.
Westwood = fail. She can **** right off. http://i25.tinypic.com/azaow6.gif
What's that exprssion again? Oh yes.... whatever! Her intention of bringing her campaign to your attention has been achieved. QED

Hmm, I wonder why Long Run suddenly stopped responding. Maybe he realized that Westwood scrounging some free publicity by trying to bring a shitty campaign to the attention of the Big Brother viewers when most of them are 13-year-old alcopop-drinking idiots was about as transparent as Casper the Friendly Ghost.
QED, son.
As your beloved wolfman would say that is THE Long Run! I just popped out to deliver some campaign leaflets to promote sustainable living. The Gaia movement is growing in significance.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! Apparently, she's some fashion designer who blabs on about some rubbish campaign of hers when she isn't getting mentioned that week.
The outfit David was wearing that had a ****ing seatbelt hanging off it was made by her, apparently. :laugh3:
YOu are so full of nonsense - I think you may find she is mentioned in many ways, and i hardly think she would be that desperate for a letter to be read out in BB

Her campaign is fully covered in the media and is but one strand of a global movement to call for responsible living.
There are vested interests in the energy sector using propaganda to resist this wise initiative. Her letter to David is an opportunity to do something nice for a nice guy and simultaneously draw attention to the campaign. I hope there will be some associated coverage on BBLB and HL show to get appropriate wider penetration.

HAHAHAHAHAHA! Yeah, Vivienne Westwood really needs to write a letter to Big Brother to get publicity.
She is a very famous fashion designer. VERY famous... as in famous enough that her clothing is in some of the top museum fashion collections of the world.
Some of you should really read more. Or get out more. Or turn off the tv and computer and experience the world around you. (This is not directed at everyone, obviously)

This is SO shocking!
I mean, I feel the woman's collections have began to get stale over the last few years,
But she single-handedley brought Punk and new wave fashion to a global
stage and re-introduced mix-match patterens into our everyday lifes.
The lady is up there with Galliano and Jean-Paul Gautier as master of high end Couture fashion.
She's a Legend.
