View Full Version : Helen Meets Spencer!
Apparently Helen met up with Spencer on GMTV this morning - did anyone see how they got on? I'd imagine that Helen did most of the talking, as Spanky seems to be a man of very few words!
She's also tipped Sophie to be the next person evicted:
(from Ananova)
Helen tips Sophie to be next to go
Spencer has come face to face with former Big Brother housemate Helen. They were guests on GMTV.
Helen, who is now living with Paul after meeting him on the show, tipped Sophie to be the next to be evicted.
She said she expected Sophie and Alex to be nominated this week but Alex to survive again.
"She's a bit quiet since Lee left, since her love interest has gone. She hasn't really connected with anyone else," said Helen.

I saw it.
Helen spent half the time backstage, rubbing his head and giving him 'presents' (flowers etc) - he looked really enthusiastic!
He was quiet, still refused to get drawn into bitching, and Helen was her usual delightfully bubbly self. Very opinionate, says she was gutted she had to choose between Spencer and Alex, as she'd rather get rid of boring PJ or Sophie (her words, not mine) She was also gutted cos she bet £200 on him winning, and he was being cheeky, saying she had noone to blame but herself, as she didn't vote Alex out.
They asked about Kate (and it's rather clear he doesn't want to talk about it, bless him.) He said the papers had just assumed and written bits that were wrong, but said he'd said he'd take her to Scotland.
Then they shifted the conversation, and it kind of rounded up with Lorrraine telling them to 'chat amongst themselves' as they were discussing their BB experiences.
Helen also made the point about the tasks giving them something to do all week, whereas the new lot have nothing to do.
(Hope that helps a little!)

wow - didn't realise Helen was the betting type
What were the odds of Spencer winning, I imagine they were quite high so she wouldn't have made much would she lol

It was soooooo funny coz they are total opposites!
Spencer was his usual monosyllabic self whereas Helen could barely keep her mouth shut for 2 seconds! Lol!
It was hilarious, Spencer looked slightley bemused!
I hope Helen stays after BB has finished, coz she's sooooo funny on it, soooo enthusiastic!
Bit worried about her stroking him though! Hope Paul doesnt get jealous! Lol!

I can't believe I missed this! I saw Spencer before I left for work and (wrongly arrgh) assumed that helen wouldn't be on!
I hope she has been behaving herself!
We knew about the £200 bet because Paul wrote about it in yesterdays NOTW, which I posted up on http://www.thisisbigbrother.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=1161&page=1
Missed it, BUMMER!:bawling:
Thanks, Glitterbabe & Princess! Sounds exactly like the Helen we all know and love.
Helen also made the point about the tasks giving them something to do all week....
Haven't we all made exactly the same point as Helen! I bet she's so glad she's not in the house this year. :spin2:

Spencer has changed in the last 24 hours. On Sunday's BBLB show Demot could hardly get many words out of him.
On GMTV this morning Spencer was more talkative (slightly).
However having spent about 45 min with Helen on Lorraine/GMTV he was primed and ready for Lorraine/Helen to get him to give proper replies.
Lorraine was creased up laughing when Spencer challenged Helen about the bet she had put on for him to win and then helped to vote him out. "Helen, may she never change".
The show ran out of time while Spencer and Helen were talking BB but Lorrain did say "I will see you tomorrow". I hope she meant it. I don't know if she was refering to Helen or Spencer or both.
So Helen and Spencer fans set those recorders......:bouncy::bouncy::bouncy:

Lorraine usually ends her bit with "I will see you tomorrow!" so I doubt very much whether she was referring to Spencer and Helen...would be nice though!
I really think Spencer looked happier than he has been since coming out of the house. I am sure he and Helen had a right giggle behind the scenes..ie off camera not the bits we saw whilst they were messing about as 'teasers', because they seemed very easy going with each other on screen. I think Spencer was more relaxed than I have seen him in other interviews... but then Lorraine and Helen like to have a laugh so it would have made him feel more comfortable than with say reporters or Dermot even, who just throw questions at him without really much thought.

Spencer i feel is just jumping on the only gravy/bandwagon he has got ......he was voted out for a reason ( a few of them )...he works in a ski shop and is a bit of a punt...........any money he has comming his way he will take ...and it wont matter who he stands on to go there. nice move on Kate i thought .... but its just my opinion ....
fun ok suppose it is

And why not Andy? He has opportunities to make money now so with in reason why shouldn't he? All the programmes he is appearing on at the moment will have been pre-booked, and anything else offered to him, will be up to him as to whether he does any of them or not. So you are saying that in his shoes you wouldn't do the same?
Obviously if he ends up going to every premiere or over does the personal appearances then he only has himself to blame if he gets rubbished for it, but give the guy a break he is only making the most of his new found fame, and he is very popular so I think people are happy to see him at the moment?
He didn't win the 70 thou' so hopefully he can make up for it by taking up some of the things offered to him....
GO SPANKY!!!!! :spin:

Now he's got the contractually binding PA's over with, any show he appears on will be because he wants to, so he's bound to be more open and talkative.

Exactly. I heard him on Chris Moyles (i love Chris Moyles, i will marry him!) and he was really funny, chatty and sounded happy, because it was something he really wanted to do, not something he had to do.
I think Chris should give him a job on his show- that would be even better to listen to....

Oh what a shame I missed this, do you know if there is a transcrpit of the interview and what the website address for the radio station is please? Last year when Brian was interviewed by Dr Fox on Capital Radio fm soon after he came out of the house having won BB2, unfortunately I missed it... but I was lucky enough to get a transcript of the whole interview, plus a copy of the tape.....plus actual press photos of Brian in the studio and in the foyer with Foxy afterwards... neither of which were released.
:flower:
Hi here, Honey :xyxwave:
This is the address for Chris Moyles' website on Radio 1:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/chrismoyles/
I can't find a transcript of his interview with Spencer, but it could well be put up in a few days - I certainly remember his excellent interview with Helen being put up last year.

I hate to see a Spencer fan suffering. I think it's a bit unfair to Paul being pictured alongside the lovely Spencer, but how about this:

It's not fair to SPENCER, mate. Leave it out, and don't encourage them!
FICKLE! That's what you lot are!
Paul is absolutely gorgeous through and through.
Spencer is a reasonably attractive cover around a book which has yet to be written.
IMHO! (stands back and waits for flack)

Excellent comment ROB, I like it. :spin2:
Yes, I'm a Spencer fan, but I'm afraid he is nowhere near the same league as Paul. None of this years housemates stand up in comparison to last years lot at all.
And blinkinlovely, Disco's flashy avatar is all very well, but its not quite fair as it doesn't have as many Paul pics on it (but then considering Disco did it that is hardly surprising ). I'm sure we could do you a more evenly distributed one.

I would never flack the delusional. It would be neither fair nor constructive in their rehabilitation.
With time I hope they will come to realise the undeniable fact of Spencer's superiority in personality, intelligence and aesthetic appeal. Until then they have my most sincere pity.

This is all getting very unlike what I have come to know as the friendly TIBB site, even though I know there is some humour involved...well almost. Why can't we all just accept that some of us like Spencer and find him more appealing than Paul and visa versa? As long as it is done without malice, shouldn't we all be able to say what we want without being pounced on. ...although I am fully aware that Disco is perfectly equiped to handle all this without much concern....very eloquently too if I may say so?
I am a huge Brian fan and don't like Paul or Helen very much at all, *ducks*, and I was quite concerned about putting a picture of Brian up as my avator. Lee assured me it would be ok and so far it has been. I have never said anything negative about Paul and Helen on this site because I respect the fact that the majority of you are huge fans and treat it very much like it is a fansite dedicated to them even though the title of the site does actually imply it is a general BB site. Can't we just agree to disagree? I know you want to defend them, and that is commendable, but if someone doesn't like Paul or Helen then they should be allowed to say so....in a respectful way as with all people... of course... IMHO!!!!
I enjoy this site very much and have fun posting about BB3 on it, it would be a shame if that was spoilt and I felt I couldn't post here anymore because I don't like the same people you all do and found myself having to defend myself because I happen to mention the fact.

I wasn't aware that I had had a 'strop'!
Yes, I did take it in a good humoured fashion, of course. It's sad but I am resigned to the fickle nature of the human being.
Honey, I am well aware that you are being restrained in your comments re: Paul and Helen and had managed to work out that you like Brian! I think it's fair to say that our feelings on the matter are equally inverse.
In the words of the great PC, fair do's! I don't have a problem with it. I won't dish Brian or Spencer if you don't dish P&H!
I will comment on Spencer though, because, after all, that's what we're here for, a lively but hopefully good natured exchange of views.
Deal?
Cool!

In my opinion, this year's housemates as a whole are better-looking than last year's ones. I'm not saying that Sandy or Jade, for instance, are good-looking, but neither were Penny or Stuart, or Betty or Bubble, or Narinder.
IMHO.
