View Full Version : At Last - A 'Proper' Task!
(Story from Ananova)
Housemates must master ballroom dancing
The Big Brother housemates have been challenged to learn ballroom dancing for their next task.
They must master the basic steps of the waltz and the foxtrot as well as more advanced variations.
The eight remaining housemates have until 7pm tomorrow to learn them.
If they perform well, Big Brother will give them the ingredients for a summer garden party.
The housemates must choose a different partner for each dance.
Music will be piped in for their performance but they will not have any music to practise to.
PJ and Jonny seemed positive about the task and the possible reward and Tim said the waltz was easy, but Sophie appeared less keen.

Maybe, just maybe, the producers have taken notice of all the criticism concerning tasks (or lack of them) for the housemates. :hello:
This task could well provide some much needed light relief for the housemates ..... and for us! Remember Brian & Bubble waltzing last year?

Just heard on BBLB that they will have to dress up in ballroom dance gear. Now that should look pretty funny. They will show it live on BBLB tomorrow.:colour:

Well at least Big Bro' have given them something to work at this time, and something that they don't have to perform until the next day. Should be a laugh...hopefully! I wonder what Alex will dress in if they are having costumes.... a dress or a tuxedo? Only kidding! (well he did put a skirt on for the school disco didn't he?)

AT LAST A TASK!!!!!
:elephant::dance::elephant::dance:
Absolutely, and the housemates have been having great fun practising for it today. What a difference to see them laughing and joking and enjoying themselves for a change.
I heard that they'd be dressing up too, banarama - the boys in top hat and tails, and the girls in sparkly ballgowns. (Now Helen would have liked that!)

It's back to the old times isn't it!
How nice to finally see the housemates having a bit of fun!
Hopefully when the bars come down, it will improve things even more!

Can't wait to see this task tomorrow night, especially if they are dressing up in top hat and tails and ballroom gowns.
It should be a lot of fun and I hope they give them strawberries and cream as a treat if they pass.

AT LAST A TASK!!!!!
I know, about bloody time too! Do we know what their 'reward' will be?
It's back to the old times isn't it!
It certainly is - and all the better for it.
They will show it live on BBLB tomorrow
Now guys, I'm relying on you to give me the full story. What they were wearing. Who danced with who - you know the score, give me details and lots of them!!!

There not used to a bit of effort in the house though, I havent seen them do much practising. But then I havent been watching e4 tonight. I know a big groan went up when it was announced, you'd think they'd be glad of something to do.:dance::dance::hello:

Pity once again, that the Poor side got very little coverage and instead the focus was on Alex and his fellow housemates on the Rich side. We did get brief glimpses of the Poor side, but yet again C4 are not showing a balanced view...why?
The costumes were good but once again the divide spoilt the whole thing...can't wait until the bars come down next week. Perhaps some of the feel good factor will return when the house is back to normal for the housemates definitely, but for us viewers too. The programme wasn't that much better before they went up, but at least it will not be so depressing.

Will the bars come down if they don't win the task??:conf::conf:
No-one's absolutely sure, bananarama - however the following is an extract from the transcript that Honey posted up of the conversation between Dermot and the senior producer (Phil):
Dermot - Finally...the BIG ONE!!! Are the Bars a permanent fixture?
Phil - Oh NO NO NO!!!! They were always meant to do a specific job in the middle of the series, but they'll be in for another week. ........
(then they talk about the most recent musical chairs task)
........... And then the following week we're going to give the housemates the chance to bring the house together as one and lift the bars completely through the task. So watch this space because that will happening that week!
So your guess is as good as mine! Let's hope the housemates pass this week's task and then it'll be 'bye bye bars'!
I think that, even though they would never admit it, the producers have realised what and awful mistake the bars have been and now want them to come down. Because of this I am sure that C4 will make sure that the housemates win this weeks task.
:flower:
I agree i think they have heard so many complaints about the bars that now they have realised it's a bad idea a week we could have maybe taken but i see they have back up plans if they lose the task on saturday like flowers and a slide of some sort for the rich side why do they bother get rid of the bars!!!!:xyxwave:
