I hope i spelt it right.

But yeah, i watched it last year and dont understand why its considered to best film ever made... it was an okay film, bit not brillent

Not a fan. Don't quite get why it's supposed to be excellent.

It's like The Shamshank Redemption.

I can't stand that film, and dunno what all the fuss was about.

Seems we're in the minority. "Most" people have replaced the Bible with that DVD! No joke. The amount of praise lavished on that film is ridiculous.

It was revolutionary at the time, and one of the first and very few instances where a major Hollywood director was given total creative freedom.

Orson Welles pretty much mastered the art of flashback and non-linear storytelling in his first movie while also giving a pretty brilliant lead performance. Maybe it's not my all time favourite (I preferred his follow up, the Magnificent Ambersons), but I have to admit it's one of those movies that is very hard to find fault with. It was extremely ahead of its time and achieved everything it set out to do.
