Did he put himself there, or was he pushed onto it?

And he did.
With NO argument.

Sophie did indeed say Charlie to go to podium 1, however there was no suggestion who Charlie thought should be there!

Sophie said it but he was going to go there anyway and didnt need much encouragement, it was only after he was on the podium he decided he should perhaps mention someone else being there
