Patrick Wolf - The Bachelor.
Siobhan Donaghy - Ghosts.
Skye Sweetnam - Sound Soldier.

These three are all SO underrated it's unbelievable.
Patrick should totally be having much more success, especially with his recent stuff [Vulture - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HqWIfysVR_A && Hard Times - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VH5vgng9LAg] which is a tad more mainstream friendly compared to his earlier efforts [The Magic Position - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AsBp8pJirEM]

Siobhan is MUCH more an albums artist. You'll know her as part of the original Sugababes lineup but she went down a real indie/katebush route as a soloist. Her main single was definitely worth charting higher [Overrated - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wBLMSX09ZME] as did the lead single off her second album [Don't Give It Up - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jgCOxDiN4Bo] which defined her more as an artist, and the album is very reminiscent of Kate Bush. It's a shame she wasn't successful, it ended her career.

Skye had a lot of success with her first album, moreso in the USA and Canada, her home country. The second album, which IMO is a lot better, just bombed. The whole album is consistently full of catchy pop/rock tunes that highlight both Skye's rocky vocals and fun personality. The fantastic choice for lead single [Human - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b5uMJmc2Yo4] had moderate success, but nothing much official came from her after that.

The Walkmen- A Hundred Miles Off, in particular one of the best songs ever- Another One Goes By (The Walkmen in general are underated beautiful musical geniuses)

It won the Mercury Prize, it's not underrated.
