Would you do Big Brother to impress your parents?
I mean, some kids get an education or work hard or change character...
Siavash goes on Big Brother and cheats on his girlfriend and tells about 5 billion porkie pies.
Is this what his Father finds, admirable? :conf:

Havent you got anything better to do than hate on Siavash all day?
You really need to get over this obsession you seem to have with him.

LOLOLOLOLOLOL He just needs to wear a sign around his neck -- PAY MORE ATTENTION TO ME. Maybe he can borrow the one he left in the BB house.

It's weird.
It's like "So you think I'm weird right? So you think I'm gay right? Well, I'm going to go on Big Brother and prove you wrong...?"

Siavash isn't liked by Iranians from what I've gathered. His dad dislikes him because he's a 'weirdo' and a 'gay'. Makes sense based on Iranian culture, Vash won't be popular over there.
I think that's maybe why he moved to England. To gain acceptance.
I think if my folks saw my behaviour on TV, they'd feel ashamed. I'm not exactly.... ladylike.

I'm not sure about him and his Iranian attachment. He's unlike anybody of Iranian descent I have ever seen. I'm not expecting all Iranians to be the same but he appears to be somebody in some form of an identity crisis because Iranians, considering their history and current climate are of 2 factions that run deeper to numerous other ones.
Pro-Islamic Revolution
Anti-Islamic Revolution
The second are far more related to the Persian ancestory and the respect to the past genealogy. Conservative but modern.
As I said, I wouldn't expect him to be like other Iranians but I don't expect him to be completely ignorant of it too.
He referred to himself at one point as Arabian and he does Arabian parties... erm... he's Persian and the Persians destest the Arabs due to history and their association with the west, modernity and numerous other reasons related to the current and past climate in the middle east.
He is a complete oddity but I think it is down to his need to seek attention that he doesn't know what identity he is seeking the attention from.

Yes, he doesn't know who he is, I think he's kinda messed up.

One reason I wanna go on Big Brother is to show my parents who I really am.
My mum is like some sort of Stepford Wife and my dad is an Officer in the Army, so me and my sister always have to be "respectable", which basically means we act like a perfect family in front of people. (If you watch Desperate Housewives - think Bree Van Dekamp with blonde hair!!!)
I wanna go on there and show them what I'm really like. So in a way, yeah, I'd be going on for my parents' acceptance.

I think he is trying so hard to be somebody he is not and because of that, everything is an obstacle and he has to betray himself (lies, deception, lack of loyalty) over and over again to try and be this confused individual... look at how far he went in the house to succeed? He stepped over everyone.
Add this to his association with women - Noirin, he said about moving to Ireland and in 5 years time etc and Sophie, let's communicate regularly - he is desperate to be somebody he is not.
Compare this to somebody who is straight forward, basically is hospitable, doesn't need bravado or fake pretence - which would have been ok for him. But... he needed to be competitive and excessively aggressive in removing opponents by turning people against each other.
Even the whole "girlfriend" thing was concocted as it was the reason why this "girlfriend" said she was his cousin/friend on BBLB... and this is how he wanted to show his Father he should be proud of him?
It's utterly mind boggling but simply, if you be yourself, if you are a nice guy then how can this happen.

Dude... the house controls you man.
I guess it will surprise the family.
If I went on there, I think by day 3 I would be an anarhist.

I heard him say on LF late one night that his dad was either someone in politics over in Iran or he was heavily involved in that scene anyway and they were forced to leave because of that and seek exile over here when he was still young.
I agree that his way of dressing etc would be severely frowned on by most Iranians, including his father it seems.
Very sad story really when you think about it.

A lot of the Iranians who sought exile after the Islamic Revolution were modernist and westernised. Iran was like the Western France before the 80s and completely changed after that.
So, I don't think his parents can be that strict or disciplined. If they were removed, they would have been removed due to their political association with the Shah and the Shah was the one that the British and the west associated greatly with. A lot of the Officials under the Shah would send their kids to study in the west due to the oppressive education system the Ayatollah placed after the Islamic revolution but also to become more westernised.
A lot of the Iranians who left and found homes elsewhere, still have interest and property over in Iran and want to return if a regime change occurs.
I don't think he is as bad as is stated but then again, as you know, I don't believe a lot of what Siavash says.

I still can't believe he tweeted his father.
After 5 years of zero contact, that's how he offered the first olive branch.

A bit like his girlfriend breaking up with Siavash over Facebook with a message to the world on her profile, while he is in the house and she has befriended him on facebook.
