View Full Version : The reason BB11 got rid of the Open Auditions

Quite obvious..
2 Million a night is their lowest ever right?
This year the papers and stuff keep going on about how crap BB has became..
If you even like BB your "a low life" apperantly
And surprisingly not many BB Fans want to be on BB because they dont want to be famous
This means that BB wouldnt do Public Auditions because instead of Massive Ques there wouldnt be that many meaning that the Papers and BB haters would laugh at that and would be embarressing for BB to have like 600 people instead of thousands there ussually is..
Why Email?
Well Computers are the thing of the future
Why go out on a Rainy Morning and wait for hours and hours in a big line with a bunch of Chavs when you can sit in the comfort of your own house and Email BB your Audition!
Simple as that,
Emailing will get BB more Auditionees aswell,
The people who say..
"I would of loved to go on BB but whats the point in going all that way an being turned down?"
Well now you dont have to go all that way!
To some it up and answer the Quistion
"why no public auditions?"
Its because BB are scared of being embarressed by a low turn up of Audionees so use a Computer were no one will ever know how much Auditions they get..
Accually,
If your gona audition you`ll have a better chance of getting through if not many are intrested..
Remember how unpopular BB10 was?
That and most Fans dont want to go on it?
Means instead of a 1 in 10000 chance its like 1 in 100 chance of getting in now or through to more rounds

I am very happy BB have got rid of the open auditions - about time. Standing in the very cold weather in January/February is no joke and was very off putting. It is better BB go back to their old way and look at videos.

I'm far more confident online than I am in real life. So I figured what the hell I'd apply and see where it goes.

Yeah, exactly what I thought tbh.
They'll send apllication forms to those whose emails impressed them for further detailing then take it from there probs.

Erm...but this isn't Sims Big Brother. If you're not confident enough to go through the open auditions then how are you gunna be confident enough to make a complete prat out of yourself on national television??

I'm glad they got rid of open auditions because I've waited 7years to be legally old enough to audition for BB.
People call me sad all the time because it's my biggest dream EVER, but I don't care to be honest. I'd do absolutely anything to go on BB, and not for the fame or winning or money. I'd quite happily sign a contract saying I could no win, could earn no money from my time in the house, have any magazine deals or fame post-BB.
I just find it annoying when I see people like Rex get on the show when he "did it as a joke", when you have people like me who would do ANYTHING to get on the show. I would get so upset losing out on my biggest dream to someone who auditioned on a whim, as a joke or a dare.
I hope my chances are greater now, I know I'd be an absolutely AMAZING housemate and would do everything I could to make BB11 go out with a bang. (That's me being honest, not big headed).

If it is the case, then I think when you're told to go to the face to face it will be VERY testing. Anyone can say anything over the computer, but in front of others is a different story altogether.
"Pushed to the limit" comes to mind! Ooh I'm very excited!

I'm not going to go nude for the show, in the email I sent, I pretty much told them what I'm like in real life.
There might not even be Live Feed, so what the public would see of me on their tvs would be very minimal.
Anyhoo, I'll see how far it goes.

Said it before and will say it again:
BB10 'youtube audtitions' as well as shopping centre events were NOT for finding HMs. Oh sure.. if a golden one appears then great,
but,
They are now to hype the program. They are to get the public excited. To rally the hardcore fans,
but,
They are NOT for acquiring HMs and especially not for next season. That is handled by talent agencies, friends and family of BB people and for making some deals/trades/favours.
NOT for the public. NOT for 'people at home' and NOT for 'everyday people'.
they will still have interviews they just want to see if anyone stands out online and sort the cr*p applications out = shorter que's at the interviews they dont have the money to pay the staff to audition 10 of thousands of applicants so they will pick i.e the best 1000 out of the email's people send to draw up a short list = no wasted time on "normal people" that are part of the GBP in other words- the top 1000 emails that are sent in from gays, lesbians and *******ing odd balls or wanabe glamer modles that are thick as sh*te, if you dont fit in 1 or more of them categories dont even bother you wont even get an inteview! thats what they want to do weed out the normal people that will save them loads of cash and concentrate on the the typlical BB contestants.
p.s
thats a clue that next year will not be a BB "All Stars" < thay cant *******ing afford it

Yeah, Maybe a good idea to do it online..
Bit easier for people to get in, But that would mean they may be putting it on ?

I think it's because they can't afford it.
Why waste 1000s on production staff and hiring out halls and such when you can just pick and choose people by going to a website.
Yeah, Maybe a good idea to do it online..
Bit easier for people to get in, But that would mean they may be putting it on ?they will still have to be intervied they will not let them in with out interviwing 1st, all they are doing is cutting back on the money spent on the aditions prosses

Well the house being a closed environment with numerous characters who, going by previous years of big brother have had very different personalities winning...
anybody can get in there and do well.
As for learning about the world - like what? Knife crime? Join a group of binge drinkers? Try your hand at trading stocks and shares? Learning about some Empires and Civilisations that no longer exist? Buying a book about England and what road goes to what town?
What?

Try being a 6' 7", ginger, opinionated, foul-mouthed, highly strung, common, temperamental, North Waleian student who's possibly the "gay-est" straight guy in the country with a hatred of upper classes and the monarchy!

I applied just to see how far i get, What did you guys say in your email?
I said I was in prison for a while but then I had to have my name changed to Pedro Rodrigo Almodovar Perez Ronaldinho because I had a price on my head.
They got back to me straight away with details of an agent and told me to keep next summer clean.
