Well there was an audition programme last year. I think there is about 10 rounds? Well I got past the 1st round at the picking fences where you had to say 3 facts about yourself and then in the 2nd round.. you fill out a form with a few pages answering questions and rating how intelligent, attractive etc.. you think you are and what your friends, family think about you. You then have an interview with 2 people who work for big brother and then after that I got rejected. I heard in the 3rd round theres a MASSIVE application form you have to fill out that apparently takes a few hours and then the other rounds after that.. I think.. a diary room chat with big brother? having a debate with potential housemates? lol

The same response as everyone has got via the email.

WOW Ok thanks for this, the whole process seems impossible LOL. I will still give it a go for a laugh. I bet the first round you have to que up for ages.

People gave me advice before going to the auditions but.. ahh especially when I got to the 2nd round there was more pressure and you are waiting about.. I hope I get to at least round 3 this time. I would love to fill in the massive form! Although who knows.. could be a different audition process? but i doubt it..

Yeah I was nervous at 1st but then people are just in the same boat as you so I just ended up talking to some people lol. Its more nerve wracking after the 1st round. Just go there and well just try not to think too much or care too much?

Ahh I wish there was someone on tibb who got further than I did because I only got to round 2 after all.

Apparently there is no queing this year. From what I have heard, all applications will be done via the internet. I have thought, in the past, about auditioning but the very idea of queing for hours on end, in January/February put me right off. Such a cold time of year although if you were determined enough (as many were) it might pay off. But I would hate to queue for a long time only to be rejected at the first hurdle. So on the basis of applications via the internet I might just apply.

And thanks for the good luck!! Good luck to you all also! Hopefully the IrrepressibleDH will come online and tell us all how he did it :P

Last year, if I remember right, weren't you also able to audition via the YouTube? On the BB website it only says to audition this year via e-mail. I haven't heard anything via YouTube or queing at various destinations or cities. I wonder if it is because it is the last one (for Channel4 anyway) that they are doing it differently this year for next year!

They will probably get everyone to fill in some details about themselves then pick thousands to meet face to face - still loads to pick from but less than turn up at auditions, saving time and money.

Good question about the locations, am keen to know where the London one is. Also I assume they take place during the weekend? And is it only on for once day??
