I just saw in Derren Brown's advert, that he said he will be

"Attempting 5 events of misdirection"

Misdirection ey?

Was you two busy watching the lottery balls he is juggling in his hand or did the word "predicting the lottery" from Derren Brown catch your attention?

:spin2:

[i]The study of close-up magic is a good introduction to misdirection. Misdirection takes advantage of the limits of the human mind in order to give the wrong picture and memory. The mind can concentrate on only one thing at a time. The magician uses this to manipulate the "victim's" idea of how the world is supposed to be.

He said he will be attempting events of misdirection, in the advert he is juggling lottery balls, so you will be looking at them, while he misdirects you into thinking he will predict the winning lottery numbers

I don't think it will stop people from buying tickets. But then again, I don't understand what he is trying to do. Lol

it isn't being predicted until after the cut off point anyway. although he could test gullibility and just pick out random numbers whilst you can still buy a ticket, and see if the sales go up.

But the cut off point for buying a ticket is 7.30 pm isn't it?

Is he bollocks gonna predict the lottery he is going to fool the audience in to believe he can, he isn't magical he says that himself, he is just incredibly great at fooling people, which I find amazing.

Illusionist Derren Brown will try to magic up millions by predicting the lottery numbers live on telly tonight.

The mentalist’s attempt will be seen on Channel 4 as the real Lotto draw goes out on BBC1.

He aims to reveal the winning numbers moments before they are announced on the rival channel.

Fellow magicians are baffled about how he will pull off his latest stunt. Derren, 38, has said that he will reveal how he did it on a second programme on Friday.

Lotto firm Camelot insisted he could not affect the draw. A spokesman said: “Derren Brown is an illusionist creating an illusion that he can predict the numbers.”

I can't see how he is going to do it.
