She is fantastic in V for Vendetta... one of the best performances I have seen on film. Meryl Streep in 'The devil wears prada' is a good performance. I prefer seperate characters rather than actors in general.

Emma Thompson, Morgan Freeman, Samuel L Jackson, Alan Rickman, Nicole Kidman, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Cate Blanchett.
Comedy actors; Robin Williams, Will Ferrell, Jim Carrey.
Particular performances: The guy in The Green Mile (as John Coffey) who was also in Armageddon, that's possibly one of the best performances I've ever seen. The whole family of American Beauty's cast (Thora Birch, Kevin Spacey and I forget the woman's name).

Dustin Hoffman, Jeff Bridges, Denzel Washington, Ralph Fiennes, Kevin Costner, Russell Crowe (whatever you think about him, that man can act), Amy Adams(wonderful in Enchanted), Streep obviously, Dennis Quaid, Toni Collete, Michelle Pfeiffer, Juliette Binoche.
Just going for the ones that have a likeability and star quality about them and who can also act. Oh, and Michael J Fox was a great choice... nobody could have played Marty McFly but him.
Gary Oldman (everything), Ralph Fiennes (The English Patient)

I saw the movie years ago and found out it was actually based on a graphic novel so bought it. The book does not actually have the same story line and Seymour doesn't have such a big role.
Argh now I want to watch!

The best actress is Meryl Streep, hands down.
But my fav. is definitely Julianna Moore. She just brings a certain vunerability and charm to her roles that you can't learn in any acting school.

Streep goes without saying and yes, Julianna Moore is a marvellous actress although I don't really connect with her so much. Oh, I thought about another now: Kristen Scott Thomas. I always thought she was good but recently saw her in a French Film.... wow.

John Cusack , High Fidelity he is brilliant in that! Cary Grant is brilliant in Bringing up Baby and Arsenic and Old Lace. Bette Davis in What ever Happened to Baby Jane and All about Eve.
Robert Downey Jr, in anything. But thats Lust pure and simple! Judi Dench is fantastic in everything too. Steve Buscemi always the supporting actor but outshines everyone else. Richard E. Grant, wonderful darling! Uma Thurman, for a woman with giantic feet she is elegant on screen!
And Mae West for the best oneliners in Movie History!
I could go on forever I think!
