View Full Version : Trick 'r Treat [trailer]
I can't wait for this film, it's been on the shelves for 2 years. It's got a US release date of 6th October... I'm not sure about UK or any other countries yet, but I hope it's a worldwide release.
I think this could be one of those all-time great horror movies, the classic horror films.

It's meant to be amazing, I think it's coming direct to DVD in the Uk though.

it looks absoluterly ****, very low budget, clearly. ROFL at all the qoutes coming from abstract horror sites.

Looks like a good old classic (but cheesy, in a good way) horror movie. I can't wait.

It's coming out the 26th October on DVD in the UK. I think I'm gonna get it, the reviews are universally highly postive and the trailer looks fantastic.

Horror is getting boring. Next.
I watched this the other day, it's incredibly cheesy but they commit one of the biggest no-no's in horror:
never kill a/the kid(s).

It came 2 days early for me so I watched it last night, I enjoyed it, was a bit confused at parts but I found it to be very good :)

Come on. If it was that great, it wouldn't be going straight-to-dvd.

Direct to DVD doesn't always equal bad, it went to DVD because the studios didn't know how to market it. Also it had a limited release in America and streams of good reviews behind it. Straight to DVD doesn't always mean awful, one good example I can think of is The Fall which was straight to DVD here but had a limited release in America.
A lot of arthouse or independant films go straight to DVD here when they have limited releases in America, another example I THINK (not entirely sure) is 'Let the Right One In' which is one of the best films I've ever seen.
Wrong Turn 2 straight to DVD and that is awesome and because it done so well on DVD Wrong Turn 3 is being released in cinema's worldwide.
Edit: Sorry after research number 3 is going straight to DVD too. My bad.

I LOVED THE FALL! I even enjoyed The Cell (same director) "Let The Right One In" wasn't straight to DVD, I saw it here  It was a very limited release, though.

Its not at all a bad film, so what if it was Straight-to-DVD, it has 92% positive reviews from Rotten Tomatoes, thats good enough for me as I usually agree with their reviews

That's an amazing score really, I knew it was highly rated but not that it was in the 90's.
I can't wait to get it. Looks brilliant.

I just watched it, It was really good and definately the best Horror film I've seen in ages. It's sad that **** like Saw gets millions on opening weekend yet this has been shunted around for years only to get a direct to DVD release.
