What is Katie's price?
Seems to not be much.
All she see is cash.

What's a baby worth?
Some dollars.
What's a wedding worth?
Some pounds.
What's divorce worth?
Some more!
What's a funeral worth?
Dear Katie has forgotten about lovely
Princess Diana and her
chase
through
the
night
til
she
died.

Does Katie think this is a game?
Rapists? Shouting terms around.
Like candy for a baby?
Like candy from a baby.

What is this fame?
I never saw Mozart or da Vinci or Barry Manilow putting pictures of themselves for sale.
In their own homes.
In their kitchens.
Maybe even with their children?

What is Katie's price?
Is it her children?
Is it her dignity?
Does she even care?
Katie's price is clear.
It's always been
just about the money.

Thanks Iceman I really am honoured by this :) I write a poem in gratitude:

Gratitude
is what I bring to the table.
If I could write a song,
a song I would write.
If I could paint a picture,
a picture I would paint.

But all I have are my words.
Words make the world go round!
I love you!
I hate you!
I make war on you!
I trade with you!
All words!
Men are created equal!
I have dreams!
All words!

And yes, for you, Iceman.
Thank you.
Just words? No.
Much more.

Hope you like it!!

You should have a poetry thread.

Iceman - it is when the moment hits me but I've done so many because these are my first ones. I will do one a day I think.

Nathan - that is a good idea I think maybe this thread will be the poetry thread, I will have a think and if so rename it! And a poem for you:

Nathan with his mind
Comes up with good suggestions
I'll take his advice.
