Every single album with new material went straight to number 1. Their latest album, last year, went double platinum. They had 3 sell out concerts earlier this year, with 70,000 at each one. They also won NME's Best British Band award. Thats all pretty much in the last year, they hardly crashed and burned :pat:

I hate them, they've had a few good songs but I find them completely overrated. Their new material sucked and they were never as good as they were in the 90's. The only reason they did so well near the end was due to a loyal fanbase, they could've shat in a cd case and it'd gone to number 1.

Oh I knew that I thought he was taking a digg at my music taste. I don't hate Oasis because I like Blur I hate Oasis because they are completely overrated, stagnant and everything they've ever done sounds the same. They had a few good songs but it's all too same-y. There's no growth to them.

I loved their first album and their second was a good listen too, but the band was always very limited and didn't have the creativity or style that's necessary to really develop their sound. Eventually they ended up being cheap knockoffs of themselves and the Beatles because they had nothing left to say. Still though, first two albums were very good.
