View Full Version : Girl Dilemma

A friend of mine says he keeps thinking about a girl he knew many many years ago. They didn't share much together, just the odd chat and conversation now and again but now he can't stop thinking about her. There is also another girl he barely ever spoke to but saw around that he keeps thinking about.
What does this mean? He in fact is in no infatuated, in love or anything like that with these girls - they're just on his mind all the time.
I have said to him you must fancy them or something or have a big crush on them and he admits he liked one of them back then but not the other one. Over time he didn't like the other one and barely ever had any attraction to the other one.
Has anybody else ever had this before?

Maybe he's going to meet her again or something soon, did you ever start thinking about someone you haven't seen in ages and then you bump into them out of the blue!! Or you start thinking about a friend of yours and the phone rings and its them??

Well...
He saw one of them in town and was in two minds about saying hello and didn't because he's moved on from then and didn't want to mix up with that.
The other he thought he saw her mum but is now thinking it might have been her but older (like, how many daughters and mums do you know with the same haircuts and stuff). And she did look right into his face as though she knew him, but he thought it was her mum :laugh2::laugh2:
He thinks it could be something from the past that he's trying to be reminded of.

Yeah, maybe so, I think things like that are something trying to tell us/remind us/warn us of something. It's just trying to figure out what is the problem!

It's utterly perplexing.
If you fancy somebody and still crush over them or want to be with them... fine but if there is no attraction of that type then you have to ponder... why?

I dunno, maybe it's nothing to do with being attracted to them, fo the 2 girls have anything in common with eachother?

Nope nothing.
Utterly different, cut from different cloths... I think. Well one did change over time a fair bit. So possibly some similarities but no strikingly shocking similarities.
Just makes you think there's more to what's around you than the obvious.

Yeah, definately, I often think about that sort of thing as well. It happens alot, you know, you'd be talking about some film you haven't seen or talked about in years then you switch on the telly and it's on, things like that.....coincidence??? I dunno.........feels like it's something else that we haven't quite figured out yet

Definitely. I was all for the fact everything is obvious until I came across this and it makes you think about all the things you've personally encountered and what they mean.

Unfinished business, sometimes if things ended too early people feel as if there is something there that isn't.

That could be it, looking at it practically.

maybe some feelings rushed back or maybe they were new feelings when he bumped into her, things can change in years, maybe when he bumped into her he thought "Wow, she has really grown up!" and maybe thats the reason.
And maybe he thinks he should have done more than just talk to her on the odd occasion.
