such a great list Setanta:thumbs:
indeed they don't make 'em like they use too a pity

but i love the faces and also Rod stewarts career early solo career which was epic which breaks my heart when he sold out.

Stevie wonder indeed his albums are hard to pick a favourite during the 70's

i love transformer from Reed but also Berlin which is a very depressing record

i also add Nick Drake's pink moon which is a stunning final record

Neil young could do no wrong either during this peroid

But another under rated artist was the late great Chris Bell
and his only album I am the cosmos is stunning

here's a track from the album
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JFzbtROpvtk

also John cale's album Paris 1919 is a masterpiece

Slade anyone? Oh, and a special mention to the Wombles.

For me the Specials were more 80's. Yes they syarted in the 70's but only had 2 hits then as apposed to 12 singles in the 80's The Specials mean Thatcher to me.
