Lily Allen has confirmed that she has no intention of recording a follow-up album to this year's It's Not Me, It's You.

The singer recently revealed that she would star in a stage production of Neil LaBute's Reasons To Be Pretty and would not "record and tour again for quite a while".

Writing on her It's Not Alright blog, Allen said: "Just so you know, I have not renegotiated my record contract and have no plans to make another record (applause).

"I do however remain a fan of new music, so this is not some selfish crusade."

She added: "The days of me making money from recording music has been and gone as far as I'm concerned, so I don't (at this point) stand to profit from legislation.

"Except future purchases of previously recorded material (which wont be much)."

That comes off as the main reason being money - what a selfish bitch. I can understand for unknown bands the argument against filesharing, but for her? She's hardly scraping by.

Good riddance :\ and that's from a fan.

It won't be permanent, she tried a TV career and failed on BBC3 so I don't think she has much hope working in Media. I like her and hoep she records again but I think this is more of a publicity stunt then anything else.

Yeah I agree with Dezzy. She will make a new album when she feels she's not getting enough attention.

What a shame, she's extremely talentless.

What a stupid thing to say! She ll be back and when she is I hope the fans turn their backs on her (which won't happen but it would be nice :( )

Who's a money orientated person, I actually quite liked her but not any more.
It's hardly as if she's the only one who wont get as much money now...

It's all about the money with her.

Good riddance if that's her attitude.
