To be frank, I get annoyed when people stand on a musical pedestal (that sounds quite fun actually, but for this example pretend its not lol) - and claim that because the music is manufactured it's less worthy of being labelled as "good" music.

If kids enjoy people like Miley Cyrus, then that music is making them happy. Music is meant to make you happy, to elicit emotions, to relate to moments - and despite it being manufactured, Miley obviously does this.

I'm not a fan of her myself, but I don't like the fact people claim that THEIR musical knowledge/likes are better than others. If you enjoy it, you enjoy it - no matter who it is or what it is.

Yep, who cares if a band, solo artist you enjoy is manufactured. There is a lot of "bitter" celebrities out there who want more credibility because they have climbed up "the greasy pole" to the stardom they are at now. At the end of the day artists who go on the x factor and that go on because they want to follow their dream, to have a career in music. I never see any of them after going into nuts, or clinging onto tacky fame, unless some of them have? but probs just a rare few! The large majority just want to follow their dream. Does not matter how you get there. "The dream" is what the x factor contestants and N-dubz have in common and that is all that matters and the happiness of music too :thumbs:

I don't think age gap is much of an issue really so long as you have things in common, I'd be willing to go like four-five years either older or younger (although not at the moment - don't really fancy dating a 13 year old thanks very much!)
