I have some stuff but not as much as I should have. After all, I am a huge Depeche Mode fan so I owe them a massive debt of gratitude. I do have the live DVD. Stunning.

my uncle downloaded some footage onto dvd for me of them playing to a audience in Harlem in the early 80's its amazing cause they influenced the Detroit dance scene and rap

Everything can be traced back to Kraftwerk. Without them we would not have the Beatles

I have a healthy amount of respect for them but musically speaking I'd rather listen to Bowie's stuff from that period over theres and yes, I know that they influenced him but he took it to the next level.... in my opinion.

I don't mind them and realise the huge influence they've had on music but nah, not for me usually. Respect them but wouldn't be top of my must listen to lists.

Bit hit and miss but at times their music actually sounds contemporary in a mad way. They're good.

Oh, don't get me wrong, Can are good but again, a tough listen for me. Doesn't come as naturally to me to listen to them.
Primal Scream aren't bad and of course Screamadelica is magic.

It's funny, I always slag my cousin over German music and Hasselhoff but you know, when you think about it they have some magic stuff.
Bumpage to acknowledge the awesomeness of Kraftwerk.
Anybody catch that Synth Britannia documentary they showed on BBC awhile back? Good show, and if anyone is interested there is a few good torrents of it I believe on Mininova.

Yep, look at the last post LOL.
Shame it was more orientated towards the artists stories rather than the equipment itself, but it was a good show nonetheless.
Fad Gadget got all of six seconds, though. Fad Gadget rocks the ****ing cock.

Oh yeah. Lol. I found it quite interesting. Love The Human Leagues early stuff and they featured quite a bit. Did you catch Synth Britainnia at the Bbc? Performances from Depeche Mode/OMD etc.

No unfortunately. Was this recent? I avoid telly nowadays and only heard of the documentary through the interweb.

they're probably the most important band that i haven't really had much appeal for me. I appreciate everything they've done for music, but I dunno. I don't find electronic music as exciting or I think 'real' as other genres - which is probably a silly thing to say, but I dunno. Just not my cup of tea.
They have this amazing camp value looking back that I'm not sure they intended for.
