Is anyone else pissed off at Derek? re comment on last nihts show.

He really annoyed me on the show last night when he was bitching about Orlaith [Makosi defended her which he didn't like] and she walked into the room and he then asks her 'Do you think you'll be in the final?' and then, when she asked him an identical question, he says 'Why, why should I have an opinion about myself, its not up to me is it? I think its a huge presumption. That's not a game I'm playing I'm 41.'

Then he bitches, again merely to himself [or us] saying 'She's a silly cow asking me such a stupid question to think I'm so naive.' But HE asked her that question just minutes beforehand. She was merely continuing a conversation he started and which he started to cover up the fact he was bitching about her.

I just though that whole episode summed him up for the nasty, sly, two-faced winker that he is. Also what has being 41 got to do with it? Does he think that makes him better than the others?

I know there is already another thread up about Derek but I felt this was worthy of new comment.

That's the thing with him, he plays a clever game of making other people react to him and then they end up looking bad while he just sit's back looking totally innocent and a picture of calm and non-threatening.

Well Craig and Anthony have both been talking in detail to Derek and Craig does not like Makosi. You also have to bear in mind the influence he has other housemates e.g. Kemal and Eugene.

When Orlaith suddenly entered the room, Derek was making sure she didn't catch wind on what they were saying by asking the first question that entered his head. I don't think its part of any game plan. He just likes to gossip about people he doesn't like to a friendly ear - as we all do! :laugh:

The comment didn't bother me at all, he knew by asking Orlaith the question about getting to the final week that he could make her look bad. If she answered yes, she'd look like a egotistical cow with delusions of grandeur and if she said no (which she did) he was ready to challenge her over having said to the guys that she would stay to the final week.

And of course when she askedthe question back to him he was never going to answer. It's all a game to Derek and he would never allow himself to either be so stupid as to say oh yes I'll be here in the final week, or be so pathetic and self deprecating to say oh no I'll never make it to the final week. Either way Derek looks bad so he's right not to answer the question, but orlaith was too slow to realise this herself so she goes and puts her big feet in her mouth!

Orlaith tripped herself up with her own words, Derek just put her into the position to do so.

I think when she was talking about this she was saying something like " I have this awful feeling" so it wasnt really something that she was bragging about if we are honest. She was saying it as if she was dreading it and thought that because she was so unhappy the public would make her stay :dog:
