View Full Version : Dannii, what about the time you were caught on CCTV with a female stripper?
Do you need to change your gender references as well?
Oh really tell us more Tom.

Out of order, silly bint.

i mentioned the stripper episode when she was giving kandy rain a hard time. Silly cow. There was no need for the gender reference comment either. It has nothing to do with the competition.

It was definately a massive Faux Pas on her part, I don't think she meant it in a nasty way but it really didn't need to be brought up.

Media gossip about J+E and KR was mentioned tonight. She made a bad mistake, but there was nothing intentionally nasty with it.

Exactly. I think she was trying to say how it was a bit homophibic that they had to change the lyrics for him.

I do like Dannii but I think she was being intentionally nasty. No matter what context you put that into that kind of thing is NEVER funny. Why didn't she pull Rikki up about the gender changes? Or Joe about being camp? Thats the only ammo she had to shoot down a faultless performance (and I don't even like Danyl that much)
The difference in the media coverage was that Kandy Rain DIDN'T try to dispell rumours and J&E was to say how nice they were and didn't deserve the coverage

What's that got to do with it?
He's openly said he's BI, so why did he change the reference? It's a valid question. Nothing to do with Dannii outing and questioning his sexuality your post suggests.

this is the article dannii was talking about

It was still a valid question though. Albeit maybe not a compassionate one, but it has nothing to do with your OP, cause she wasn't outing him or anything like that.

that was so unessecary what dannii said about danyl johnson.

But it was unnecessary and she forgets what has been written about her in the papers (practically the same thing) so must know more than anyone whether out or not its still quite hurtful- and that was pretty evident in the way he was taken back after she said it. It was like she was trying to get a snide comment in

Thankfully for Dannii I don't think it'll cause that much outrage. People will forget because there was nothing that horrible about what she said. With Strictly, the whole racism drama is actually quite bad.

she'll apologise tomorrow, all will be forgotten......
anyway why didnt he tell her to mind her own......

There was no need whatsoever to mention that. Whether he's bi or not she still didn't need to say anything? I was really starting to like Danni until then.. think she was totally out of order he was so upset!

People are saying it was homophobic what she said and thats nonsense! Itw asnt at all.
What I think is that she was being disrespectful to bring him up on that in the eyes of 11 million people! He said that he's Bi in NOTW, and she accused of not singing "guy" instead of "girl", it shouldnt matter! Urmm, Im sure that gay guys when they sing a song performed by a man, they say "girl" as well.... he just chose to keep the lyrics the same as well! So what if he sang "girl", he's bisexual so it still stands anyway, even if he was gay, wouldnt matter about what lyrics he said.
Also, the way Dannii said it, it seemed like it was an attack, accusing him for lying basically.

Because he changed the song! It's a valid point she made, and people are just like OMGZ NO because its about someones sexuality. He's said hes bi so why did he change the song? She probably wondered and just thought out loud, I know I wondered about it.
She wasn't out of order really, she didn't do anythign wrong.

Why wasn't Rikki pulled up for not changing the song/she applauds him for keeping it as it was (because he's admitted he's gay ;))
and if shes that bothered about it why did her very own act last year (Ruth) sing quite a few male songs without changing them?
It was uncalled for
Billy

Do you have a source for Rikki saying he was gay?
Artists are known when covering songs not to actually change the words, whereas Danyl changed the words unecessarily. It's not a huge deal, Danni was obviously just wondering, jeez.

I thought Rikki was straight?
Maybe Dannii knows that Danyl has outed his bisexuality so that he appears to both men and women? Danyl seems like a funny character.. he is the one most desperate to win and I think he thinks he is going to win! He should stay though.. because dannii doesnt like him and I sense tension :D
get lloyd out!
No its just a guess, I think he is, the bit in brackets would obviously be said if she applauds him for keeping it like that bla bla ... realised how my post could be misconstrued though
and sometimes they do change them, its happened in the past and they haven't been pulled up on it, in the past they've actually changed the words to change the meaning not just substituting him for her
Billy
10-10-2009, 10:41 PM
Well Danni couldn't say anything to Rikki based on what she thought :p
I know what you mean though but I just think Dannii was like erm why change the gender? It is a valid question to be fair despite it not being totally appropriate, though I get what you're saying
I mean if Rikki was out, Dannii probably wouldn't have said anything, not say it based on what she thinks :p
Vicky.

Danni was just trying to pull him down after a brilliant performance. She couldnt fault anything else, so lets have a cheap shot about a newspaper story. He seemed pretty upset about it. And who gives a crap if he changed the gender reference or not? Why did she freel the need to bring up things like that? Would she pull up someone like Elton john on something like that? Many stars do the same thing. She was just being bitchy, end of.
And as for Louis and Cheryl , sour grapes anyone? 'You havent won the show yet' and such. They were telling Rikki he needed more confidence, and then shooting someone else down for having confidence... surely having confidence on a show like that is a good thing? They arent going to be nervous and fluff the songs. Didnt see them commenting on Jamies overconfidence...and to be honest he seemed the most confident one from the start along with John and Edward. Pathetic show by those two, and Danni tonight.
And what was the crack with the cheap digs at Kandy Rain?! Cheryl especially, the sort of stuff she wears with girls aloud, and just in general. Let them dress how they want. Jeez...
Tonights show annoyed me a lot, the judges attitudes especially.
The only performance I can fault really was the twins...they seemed so out of place, were off key and generally crap. But I expected that, they couldnt sing to start with.

I'm just after watching the show and Danni should not have mentioned that. Terrible thing to do. I don't like the chap but there was no need for that.

The Kandy Rain thing was because of the newspaper story. They didn't want to be seen as slappers because of their past jobs ... then came out dressed like that

Don't get me started on the Kandy Rain thing. I seriously hated Cheryl and Danni tonight and I usually bum them.

Do they dress themselves?
I thought the stylists got the say on what they wore, am probably wrong though.
Still, they look good, flaunt it I guess

allegedly the stylists fault.
I do hope the groups get plenty of support.

They could always say they don't feel comfortable or whatever though, they aren't forced into it but yeah they did look good, I've got no complaints :joker:

People are saying Dannii is homophobic!
How can she be homophobic if she's bi?
I think people just hate Dannii and were waiting for her to say something slightly controversial so they could make it into something it's not.

No matter what, they have more support for Danyl. He is now favourite again when he was 3rd fave before the 1st show, and i dont think that surge of odds was only because of a great performance... people felt it was unfair for Dannii to put him in the light and ask him that!
But Danyl on Twitter did say that it was nothing, and Dannii did apologise on Twitter, we dont need to worry anymore. Hopefully its forgotten about.
