I'm not sure. Very hard to pick one because of the sound engineering, which seemed to be intentionally trying to obscure the lead vocals of every performance. I'd probably go with Rikki or Jamie but there was an awful lot of rubbish tonight.

Stacie is way overrated...Lucie is the only girl I like this year.

Llyod. I've said continuously he has no actual voice and is nothing remotely special. He just has good lucks and charm to sail him through.

Joe was one of the best tonight, and I'm not just being biased. :p I think he really proved a lot of people wrong because he never stood out much before.

I agree, Joe was always going to be good, irrespective of what many said on this forum. Always knew he had a nice gentle voice that people would eventually warm to.
Joe was nout special but he wasn't the worst

Joe has a good voice.. a lot better than Lloyd's but we have heard it all before.. I liked Stacey and Lucie a lot before tonight but then realised.. I have heard all this before. Not like the unique Diana Vickers from last year.

The only unique ones in the competition are Jamie and Danyl really.
But even if we have heard it before, if its good, thats fine.
Diana will always be my favourite contestant.

I like the ones who are naturally captivating me like Diana last year. Such an amazing presense and she did not do the dancing and that much!
John and Edward really got me going tonight :D such entertainment. While some others left me a bit dry. Suppose its the first show after all.

I really dont get what people see in those little twerps...they were so out of place tonight. They cant sing in tune, or in rhythm with the music. And they are just irritating, in general. The bootcamp group thing was ridiculous. And simon was right 'they would step on their own mother to get further in the competition' or words to that effect. If they are not out soon, its a travesty.

I think they were shocked when they got to the final 12. Aww they are not bad singers I dont think and they are having a blast! Not taking it too seriously :thumbs:

Jamie isn't unique for the competition, we had Tabby in series 1 and Ruth last year
I don't think they're ever going to beat series 5. I think X Factor has peaked now (even though the ratings will go up and up)

Jamie isn't unique for the competition, we had Tabby in series 1 and Ruth last year
Not unique in style as such, but in voice. He has a very different voice.
And I forgot Tabby, loved him :D

I liked Tabby from the first series 2.. a lot of acts Sharon mentored, they would have made deserving winners and were so close, however she did end up with shittish acts the year Dannii came but that was just bad luck. The girls were not that good that year!

Not difficult really. She didn't sing it well, parts were appallingly outof tune and her voice just didn't fit the song.

The only one she did pick right was Kimberley but she royally screwed up giving her a crap song and letting her be styled how she was. That black girl was good but not right for X Factor, bit of a one trick pony. Sharon was hilarious judge but awful mentor. She could have won series 1 with Tabby, series 2 with Brenda and series 3 with Ben and even series 4 with one of the six girls but messed up every year

She came back last year and didnt get to see the judges. Having seen her live and seen videos and stuff, I can safely say she is oustanding and the judges missed a big shot.

There's no chance Simon didn't give the thumbs up for them to go through. He along with the producers controls everything. He would've wanted them through based on how big they are as characters; and the fact that he can create drama by hating them throughout.

I saw the first half of the performances (Rachel, Kandy Rain, Stacey, Rikki, Jamie, Olly and Miss Frank) - out of those I saw, Rikki was the worst, the song felt empty to me, you either need to have a big voice or a group singing Back to Black, his voice just isn't anywhere near big enough to tackle that song. I like him, but that was a ridiculous song choice. I KNEW Kandy Rain would be at the start of the show, I'm kind of surprised they weren't on first, they always put the acts with no support on at the start, knowing that not as many people are going to watch it from the start.
Rachel, Stacey, Jamie, Olly and Miss Frank were all really good! Kandy Rain were far better than I thought they'd be; I can understand the points Cheryl and Dannii were making - but they both said it with SUCH contempt, did you see the mood Cheryl went into!?
