Anyone seen it yet?
I thought it was brilliant. Massive props to Pixar for yet again, making an animated movie not just full of silly slapstick comedy.

It's a beautiful kids film but what's become increasingly apparent to me is how Pixar are producing more challenging and artistic creations, not merely satisfied with churning out the same trusted formula that's worked so well in the past. Up and Wall-E have more in common with old classic cinema then they do with animated features, with a sparcity of dialogue and a committment to mood and texture, which is to be highly commended in an age of slowly decreasing attention spans. And to do this in the medium of animation is really awe-inspiring. They're artists.

It's SO good. And the short before it is the besty Pixar short ever, IMO.
