The Conservatives will cut public spending nearly 20% to try and "save money"

*More people out of work and for longer.
*Heavy police cut-backs!
*Smaller budget for the NHS, waitings list will triple and some might have to wait years.
*School cut-backs will mean less teachers and larger class sizes..
*Large companies paying even less tax
*Households paying more tax and more VAT.
*The national min wage being frozen (The Conservatives never wanted it as some workers were on £1 per hour.. Back in the 90s!)
*Defence budget being halfed at least.. Not a wise move for the future.

So much more to look forward to..

Conservative school plans critizised by teachers and experts. Another tool to divide the population!

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/life_and_style/education/article6861762.eceYep, plus their public spending will be cut upto 20% which we would feel for a long time..

People might vote them into power because of "change".. Dumb fk's! When you stop the spin you unmask the ugly truth.. The Conservatives are not ready for government and their policy will push familes into more hardship..

Cut backs that they want will result in..
*Less police and small stations being closed.
*Less teachers and larger class sizes..
*The NHS waiting list for ops being longer, less nurses and out of date kit still being used..
*The defence budget being cut.
*Public roads taking long to repair and the car tax being higher in price
*More green tax masked by spin...

Much much more..

Income tax will go up as our money is thrown into the Conservative black hole..

The government debt is pretty bad so it looks like whichever party wins the next election will have to make cutbacks, despite what they say at their conferences, or the spin they put on it.

The Conservatives cutback would be greater, the result of that would bring big hardship to many.

Don't sleepwalk with your vote.

When the tories start cutting they don't know when to stop.......They cut and cut and cut again mainly so they can afford tax bribes for when they have to go to the public again......

All I can say anyone who helps the tories back in will deserve everything they don;t get......

They will be back next year without doubt compliments of that idiot Gordon Brown who shoots himself in the foot that often its a wonder he can still walk...

andyman

^Very true.

Plus under the Conservaties we would have more strikes and unions being crushed..

Back to the dark ages for the UK workers.

You think Conservatives have the monopoly on 'spin'?

After lurching from one disaster to another over the last ten years, Labour have assured their defeat in the next general election. Anyone who thinks that those champagne socialists have any thought for the working class, I would remind you that Gordon Brown abolished the 10p tax rate for some of the poorest working people in the country. Their open-door immigration policy has backfired. They sent our troops to fight a war we can never win in Afghanistan and they've given them inadequate equipment to do it. They lied about weapons of mass destruction to drag us into Iraq regardless of public opinion. They sold our gold reserves while the price was the at the lowest it had ever been. We're in recession with the highest unemployment figures for years. Britain isn't broken, it's just broke. No one is working harder to assure a Tory victory than the Labour Party.

Looks like we better get ready for mass public spending cuts with the Conservatives.. Let the good times roll!

Schools
NHS
Union unrest
Defence.. Trident?

IMO the Conservatives are not ready to govern and have been wrong with many issues in the past few years.

Of course, schools, the NHS, the unions and defence are all going so well under labour aren't they. What with General Sir Richard Dannatt resigning and telling the government their support of the troops has been deplorable. The government in turn tried to blacken his name by publishing his expenses only to find they were mininal... but that opened the can of worms that was their own expenses. The postal unions are striking again, class sizes increasing and our understaffed, filthy hospitals are barely able to cope.

The real problem is, it doesn't matter who you vote for, a bunch of self-serving hypocrites will get in.

andyman
24-10-2009, 05:18 PM
.. Yeah things are bad but Conservatives spending cuts would be much greater, hard to see how they can fix the problems with their level of cuts.

For years and years the Conservatives were against having the national minimum wage, some workers were earning just £1 per hour and this was back in the mid 90s, was only Labour that brought in the changes to better the UK workers..

A Conservative government would make these postal strikes look like a teddy bear tea party, any government that don't like unions will always cause unrest.

Yep but some self serving hypocrites help themselves more than others....The Tories are natural born greed merchants....Greed for dosh greed for power. Greed for control. The only thing they are not greedy for is civilised behavour.......Margaret scum bag Thatcher is an example of that......
