Waaww, 5 nominations for Michael Jackson, and its a fan vote so I am pretty sure he will win most of them. 6 for Taylor Swift as well.

Michael Jackson didnt receive the nominations based on the fact that he is dead. thats not how it works. The AMAs nominations, are based on sales, and just the same Taylor didnt receive those noms because off the Kanye incident, its because of sales.

Still, he wouldnt be in the running if he was alive, his sales just went through the roof because of what happened.

Exactly. The AMA nominations are formulated strictly on the basis of record sales, and the voting is done by a representative sample of record buyers. It just shows how much he has sold since his death, even his album number ones was nominated.

I agree, my Dad didnt know who Taylor was until the incident, my Dad liked Kanye before (weird i know), doesnt like him anymore.
He ha s ahuge obsession with Beyonce and Dizzie Rascal though.

Pathetic that MJ has so many, he has done nothing for music this year... he is only getting the award because he died.

Why waste it? Give it to someone who appreciates it and is adding something to music.
