Ex-Sugababe Siobhan Donaghy is said to be considering a reunion with her former bandmates Mutya Buena and Keisha Buchanan.

According to The Sun, Buena telephoned Donaghy and Buchanan in a bid to convince both to reform the girl group's original 1998 lineup.

A friend of Donaghy told the newspaper: "She met up with Mutya for the first time in ages over the summer and they got on well.

"Now Mutya is convinced the original three could be huge again. She was on the phone all last weekend trying to convince the girls to reform. Siobhan's considering it."

A source close to Buchanan added: "Mutya is very keen to do this. Keisha has her solo career on the go - including recording with new star Jay Sean - but she feels more comfortable as part of a band.

"There were arguments in the past, but all three realise it was because they were young, headstrong and finding fame hard to cope with."

Donaghy left Sugababes in 2001 and was replaced by Heidi Range. Amelle Berrabah joined the group following Buena's exit in 2005.

Buchanan, the then sole remaining founding member, was replaced by former Eurovision singer Jade Ewen last month.

It'd be funny if they did, the new Sugababes would be screwed.

Why are people jumping on the bandwagon with these three actually being the Sugababes, and moreso why are the media reporting it as though thats when they were at their height? Noone cared when Siobhan was in the band, they had a rubbish sound and were very closed off because they wouldn't come across well on TV, in magazines etc because they never said much. And to put it at a completely shallow level, they were complete munters. When Heidi joined thats when they turned into more of an underground band and started getting their hits, thats when they became more media-friendly because she acted as spokesperson so to speak and she added sexiness to the band. Its line up 2 which imo are the Sugababes, and if the originals get back together I think they'll bomb.

Oh yes please, I'm all for that. Wonder what they'll call themselves though? I hope they snatch their original name back as these other girls aren't true 'Sugababes'.

How about Splendababes?

I'd LOVE to see a reform happen, even though it would be a slap in the face to Heidi.

Imagine if this was true > The newest Sugababes would fail totally.

It would certainly be interesting, but I would feel bad on Heidi... as she is very close to being an original, she has been in the band longer than Siobhan.

There we go... she has worked just as hard as the others, not fair she gets classed as an 'intruder'

and as I said in my post the band would be nothing without her, because she added a bit of sexiness to the band and she became the spokesperson- she was the one who was in the interviews. The old 3 were very restricted and wouldn't speak about much

If Heidi didn't join the band would have flopped which is the way it was going with the original 3.

The original lineup were dropped by their label so what you're saying is very true, IMO.
