I mean, clearly, it doesnt matter if your song is good, or bad, if it gets the xfactor promo, it tops the sales in the UK. So basically that tells me, none of those songs can claim, they are on top, because they are good songs.

It's pretty amazing! I think her album could potentially be a big seller too. She's currently outselling most of Girls Aloud's singles, lol.

Your mental, one of the main things about releasing a single is a good promotion, why would you miss the chance to promote your song on the most watched program of the year?
If they song was really rubbish I doubt they would get a lot of sales just because it was on a tv show. Well done Cheryl, I think the source of all the sales for her is because we have all got to know her over the past year due to her being a judge, we all feel like we have a duty to support her in a way.

Wow.... so Alexandra had around 89K at this time last week (she told over 170k in total), and stood as the biggest selling #1 of 2009... looks like Cheryl will smash it after only 1 week.

Fight For This Love is a song I shouldn't like really sicne I'm a complete snob but I think it's a brilliant catchy pop song and her performance on X Factor was brilliant (It was mimed in parts but she made up for putting on a good show and plus unlike most other pop singers would have done she sang in parts too).
I agree with Mark about the point about Lady Gaga. I'll admit I find the odd Gaga song to be a guilty pleasure but she does rely on the headlines.
Finally, Ama/Wildcat? Steve Brookstein, Same Difference and Leon Jackson would like a word with you, They all performed on the X factor and bombed.

Well I like fight for this love and lady ga ga songs unless they are not played too much otherwise I may get bored so yeah Im not obsessed however I prefer robbie williams! His bodies song is better than Cheryl's "fight for this love" and lady ga ga's stuff in my opinion. Such a shame Robbie didnt get to number one! but ahh well.
Robbie is also a big fan of big brother and is now backing the twins to win x factor so that always counts for extra brownie points!
