Nick Griffin.
Jan Moir is a terrible writer. What she wrote was arguably a correct point (not a good point, but correct - he died alone whilst his partner was in the other room with another man, part of their threesome - it was sleazy circumstances). However; a mixture of THE TIMING, and the fact she chose to add venom and spite into her words just made her look the homophobic fool. She's part of a class of writers that in part are kept afloat by being controversial. Without controversy, she'd be nobody, the worst place to be as a writer.

I think there was more ignorance and hypocrisy than homophobia
Where's the Shaun Collins option? :P
Nick Griffin - he heads a racist political party.
Jan Moir just erred on the wrong side of controversial.
Jan Moir is blatantly homophobic. You would be a fool to deny it. She suggested sleaze and made his sexuality the focal point of her article AFTER it had been proven that he died of natural causes. Simple.

slease because his so called husband was busy shagging some random man they met

Your ignoring the point completely. Sure there was sleaze going on but she said there was nothing natural about his death. Which is a lie. His husband could have been shagging a ****ing elephant in a guy fawkes mask in the next room, it still did not play a role in his death. His DEATH and his SEXUALITY and anything else happening in the hotel room were TOTALLY UNRELATED.
That and the fact that she said it put an end to the 'myth' of safe civil unions. Because straight marriage always works out perfectly. Right? Right?
She sounds like a right diplomat. I just want to invite her over and play straight twister all night long...

I'm on about your sleaze comment. With a lot of what she says she is bang on and I can completely understand where she is coming from when she says 'it wasn't a natural death because fit and healthy 33 year old men don't just keel over and die'.

And I am on about the fact that sleaze played no part in his death. She can mention it all she wants, but she directly liked his sexuality to his death. AFTER it had been proven it had nothing to do with it! Scare tactic homophobia, anyone?

If you've got that condition in the first place then you're not what I'd class as healthy, and didn't he die because of something to do with his lungs anyway, making the heart thing irrelevant? Thats just speculation from his mum.

LOL she was entitled to her opinion. If people didn't want to read her opinions then wtf were they doing look at her column..
She brought a bit of controversy to the whole thign, I was bored of reading "STEPHEN GATLEY DEAD" "STEPHEN GATELY DIES OF NATURAL CAUSES" etc etc etc.

Maybe he is offended on the grounds of being a decent human being? Just a thought. You dont need to be a victim to find homophopbia disgusting. Many people do.

What the ****? You only find out her opinions through reading the column.
And oh well then that makes you a ****. :)
And Tom: she uses this, and the case of Matt Lucas' ex's suicide, as her reasoning for the 'failure' of civil partnerships. What isn't offensive about that?

It is being read into way too much. Shes saying how it isn't happily ever after, not that they fail.

Jan Moir and Nick Griffin are a pair of bigots who need to be lashed together and thrown in the Thames. I'd call that a bloody good start.

Equally *****, Billy.
And Tom; in these two instances yes. What about the others? Why should the rights of an entire section of society be tarnished or prevented because of some stupid woman's conclusion that 2 bad events = proof for all?

Does she say they shouldn't? As I said its all being read way into.

whilst gay people may be making a lot of noise and the odd hand wringing liberal metrosexual. most people dont give one about Jan Moir and casually are vaguely interested in gateley's death as it is a story that involves the x factor and peeps you have heard of.
Griffin is mixing it a bit in the sleazy world of politics and I am sure lots find it mildly diverting whist seeing straight through him.
the answer is you should not hate anyone, by doing so you lower yourself to the level that you find abhorrent.
