View Full Version : Eugene Is Fake!

Or at least so Orlaith the wise has informed the housemates. Apparently, he eavesdrops on people's conversations, and then feeds the information back to Derek. And when he was almost crying because he thought that Science was going to hit Derek,* that was all pretend and fake tears, too. Makosi replied "Well he had me fooled" (there wasn't enough in her tone to suggest sarcasm, but I think that was her intent). Craig, of course, lied; "He never had me fooled." And what else did she have to offer to bolster her fantasy? Apparently, he's started to "take a beer", when he never has before.

I wonder if Craig from BB1 will have time to construct the gallows before they notice the legend Eugene Ceramics on the base of a cup, Sully Soft Furnishings on a cushion and a set of prosthetic teeth in a glass of water at Eugene's bedside?

Craig's views on Eugene are biased, he's had it in for the poor boy since he made Antknee a cup of tea, and his hatred has only increased after Eugene attempted to stop Craig groping Antknee while he was drunk.
And I think being stuck in a house with Craig is more than enough to make even the most fanatical tee-totaller turn to drink.

CharlotteSometimes

Yeah, Craig brought that up earlier, too. Apparently, he had the situation completely under control and there was no need for Eugene to intervene at all. Muppet.

Fangz
30-07-2005, 05:23 AM
It was because of the fact that Craig was 'in control' of the situation that Eugene had to intervene in the first place.
I'd prefer Euge to look after me while I was drunk, whether or not you find him boring, you have to admit that he's the HM least likely to take advantage of the situation.

This sounds safe: "Eugene adores electronics but has a phobia of water tanks. He would love to meet Terry Wogan and is a member of a radio club."

This makes me nervous: "He is a virgin and an Atheist and is currently learning to fly."

This frightens me: "Eugene enjoys throwing TVs off cliffs to record the sound they make."

Fangz
30-07-2005, 05:35 AM
That's why Eugene should win; imagine how Craig would feel when money he could have spent on his stupid salon is instead used to fund Euge's TV-lobbing habit, or used to buy some random, mundane electronic bits and bobs.

LOL!

'Yes, sir, the 42 inch plasma model is one of our best sets.'

'How likely is it to bounce, and could you deliver it to Beachy Head?' :bouncy:

Great work Orlaith! She is pulling out enemy no. 1 and enemy no. 2

She's just leaving the house. She's keeping her bikinis and bras, as far as I'm aware.

Great work, Orlaith! You'll soon be seen as a back-stabbing bitch as well as an air-head bimbo with no personality, who's entered the BB house to try and breathe life into her failing modelling career.

I think Eugene could be a worker for BB.. or something like that. No-one can be that intelligent at 27.. If you listen to the way he speaks about things... Hhm.. There's something going on there..

Ruth
30-07-2005, 10:25 AM
I don't think Eugene is working for BB. After all, there was no guarantee that Makosi would pick him to go into the house anyway. I don't honestly believe that anybody in the house is secretly working for BB- what would be the point of having someone doing that without the public being let in on the secret?

Craig has had it in for Eugene for ages - ever since Eugene dared to make Anthony a drink, and as has already been said, he hated it when Eugene helped to look after Anthony (which he wouldn't have had to do if Craig had been capable of doing it).

I don't think Eugene is fake. But there have many surprises in the series so far, so anything could still happen.

That is the most pathetic thing I have ever heard, age has nothing to do with intelligence!

In a sense it does actually. Do you expect a 3 year old to be having a heated debate about politics?

Older and wiser goes the saying.. you learn more with age.

Only up to a point. After that, prejudice, bitterness and selfishness takes over.

That's taking things to extremes a bit! I see no reason why Eugene couldn't be extremely intelligent at 27.

Not really. You said intelligance has nothing to do with age. Yes it does. As you get older, you get wiser and more educated, therefore know and learn more.

Oh wow, well done for realizing that Yaz, you surprise me.
Once you reach adulthood though, age has little to do with it. Some people are just more intelligent than others.
And you have to accept what I'm saying, I'm over a year older than you, and have vastly superior intelligence.

As you get older, you get wiser and more educated, therefore know and learn more. Of course it was taking things to extremes. Seeing as most three year olds don't even have a proper command of language, you obviously wouldn't expect them to be having heated debates about anything:rolleyes: Why can't someone be intelligent at the age of 27?

By your reckoning, all young people would not be half as intelligent as all old people. What a crazy thing to say! I know a lot of older people who haven't got an intelligent thought in their head, and some extremely insightful and intelligent young people. People might gain more wisdom and education as they get older, but they can also get more jaded and cynical and less open to learning.

Ruth

Incidentally, one of the most intelligent and insightful people in the house was Science, in my opinion (who i wish was still in there). He was younger than Eugene.

Don't patronize me, I'm not the one who made a completely ridiculous statement. How would you know how intelligent a twenty-seven year old is supposed to be?
Simple, you don't.

I agree with you there but there are laods of aspects of intelligance as you already know. All I was saying was it is a known fact that you get wiser as you get older. Although some people, that doesn't apply to.

Sorry, I thought you'd gone? Even Orlaith went eventually, but you keep coming back. You never answered my question, how do you know how smart a 27 year old should be?

I don't think Eugene is fake at all, much mor real than some of the HMs this year. I think he's just a nice, smart guy who's perceived as different.

I think some people confuse geekiness with intelligence.
I am beginning to really dislike Eugene. How can anyone that intelligent be naive and fall for Dereks ways?
Don't say it's because he's nice. I think he's proved the opposite lately.
Yer, kill me

There is a difference between intelligence and common sense. Unfortunately, Eugene is not very "street-wise", and he is also not very confident in himself. That's why he latches on to Derek. Derek has intelligence, confidence and common sense. Eugene just has the intelligence. He is the Millhouse of the house this year. lol

science_to_win

Eugene gets uncomfortable with Derek's chats when he gets bitching.
Derek is only chatting with him because Eugene's older than the others and he's trying to manipulate him. Derek needs someone that gulliable. That's why he hated science.
You cant honestly believe they are friends or enjoy each other. It's all alliances in that house, as said on big brothers big mouth kids

I didn't think science2win said that Eugene was fake? Just that he was not that intelligent not to be able to see through Derek - which I agree with. I honestly think Eugene is one of the most genuine people in there, but there's no-one in there who he can really relate to, which is why he gravitates towards Derek. It's true though, that when Derek becomes really nasty about people, Eugene isn't entirely comfortable with it. I quite like Eugene, although I did go off him when he turned on Science.

As for him being intelligent, he has natural intelligence, in that he is able to learn things well (and I don't believe intelligence is solely related to age - otherwise how would some 5 year olds (for example) be more intelligent than other 5 year olds), but when it comes to social interaction, he struggles. I certainly don't think he is working for Big Brother, because he would be stirring up more trouble if he was.

I dont think Eugene is fake I think that is the wrong word for him. I think he is a nice guy deep down and looking at all the people he is with its only a matter of time before he has a little bitch about someone which he has started doing.
