The big day happened, the ceremony itself was over in a blur, perhaps partly due to Al Murray's mayem causing crisp cannon. It's not often you see a grown man fire potato snacks out of a specially constructed food bazooka but that was just one of the day's surprises.

Also - wtf at Edwyn Collins. Am I missing something? I've only heard of one song from him ["A Girl Like You", granted it's a great tune] but legend? I know the term's used loosely nowadays but that's taking the biscuit.

The Q! Awards, much like the sister Kerrang! awards, follow the latest trends, nothing more. I hear Avril Lavigne, Paramore and Pink are all rawkin hard on Kerrang these days.
