I dont rate pele due to the fact ive never seen him play, and the fact that he never played european football.

maldini was at the top of his game for more than 20 years

italy captain..won european (i think) and world cup

won the cl, won the italian league, won the italian cup


and desailly has won everything he could of as well, only thing he didnt win was the premiership









but then again they were part of a team so they might not count as much

but you can say that about schumacher as well

I'm just saying the man died and I don't think he was near his peak....Scumacher was only starting to make it big in F1....

Yeah but I think Prost pushed Senna which was great...a bit like how Hakkinen pushed Schumi...

There is none of it now....they all play it safe.....e.g. Lewis at brazil last year....no racing just settling for a position...senna and prost would never do that...

Marino, Montana, Elway etc maybe technically better; but Favre is undeniably amazing. It's a poll for "greatest sportsman" and Favre just loves the game so much. He's broken a load of records (forget the Int record :p), 3 consecutive MVP's, played with a broken thumb, holds the QB record for consecutive starts. He's just as dedicated as you can get.
