The Girls Aloud star has so impressed TV bosses with her ratings-busting performance on ITV’s flagship series that she’s been signed up for an hour-long programme, provisionally titled Inside Cheryl’s World.

The show is likely to feature Cheryl performing and possibly chatting to the audience and guests and will be screened on ITV1 on December 12 in the slot before the X Factor’s live Saturday night show. It will be the first time the 26-year-old has hosted her own programme, which insiders say will be a test run with a view to giving Cheryl her own series next year.

An ITV source said: “Cheryl is the name on everyone’s lips and TV bosses have been clamouring to sign her up for months. X Factor ratings have gone through the roof since she joined and prove viewers love her. The plan is to get her into the studio for her own show to see how she handles it, then find the right format to turn Cheryl into queen of the small screen.”

Earlier this year she turned down an offer to front the US version of X Factor. The Geordie star was being lined up as head judge on the American spin-off series being made by Simon Cowell’s new production company. But the wife of Chelsea and England footballer Ashley Cole rejected the offer because it would have meant relocating to America for up to six months at a time.

The X Factor has enjoyed a huge ratings boost since Cheryl joined the panel last summer.

Last month ratings topped 14m – matching the grand final in 2008.

Don't see what it is about her. She is really dull. I'm finding her less attractive day by day.

I think this has fail written all over it. No new chat shows seem to work anymore, it's only on the rare occasion that they do.

I'd like to be proven wrong though, she's extremely popular.

I don't think she is dull and boring, she comes across to me as she is ready to explode at any point and I love it. Very feisty girl :P

Good luck to her!

Hmmm not really. Her voice is just flat. Nothing to her at all.

I really can't understand all the love for this woman.
The sooner the Cheryl hype dies down the better.

Her voice is awful and she has no spark. Will be as bad as Sharon Osbournes one, or Davinas.

On 11 January 2003, Cole was involved in an altercation with a nightclub toilet attendant, Sophie Amogbokpa, in "The Drink" nightclub in Guildford (now called "Harper's"). Cole was subsequently charged with racially aggravated assault (she had allegedly called Amogbokpa a "jigaboo")[30] and assault occasioning actual bodily harm. During her trial, Cole claimed she acted in self-defence (claiming she had been punched first) and denied using racially abusive language. The jury found her guilty of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, but cleared her of racially aggravated assault.[31] The judge sentenced her to 120 hours of community service and ordered her to pay her victim £500 in compensation, as well as £3,000 prosecution costs.[32]

Lovely isn't she.

Think it is ridiculous! She is not talented - gets by on her looks. She is the latest tv fad. Was davina - now her. Preferred Davina - at least she has personality. She has enough fame and money - why not give the show to someone more talented who could benefit from the opportunity and the money. Pure greed. Some people are never happy. Want to rule the world - so to speak.

It was Davina then Cat Deeley, and ever since her it has been Saturday morning TV female presenters, Fearne, Holly etc and Caroline flack is starting to make a name for herself now too. She'll be next to be on everything

Davina is my favourite out of all of them names. Cheryl would make the worst presenter though. She is not good at presenting that hair product in that advert. I loved it when I saw Davina in them hair product adverts! :D

I remember when CDUK went through a phase of having random people on each week to present Girls Aloud did it a few times and Cheryl was the worst of the lot

Yeah I saw that advert, her voice is so flat, and it's such bad acting, even for that! She is awful.
