True, but if it was a radio show where you couldn't see the singer, Rachel would've got more votes than Lloyd.

Lloyd.

Rachel is a big pile of cack that people who have hearing problems listen to. I mean, why support the same people who sing the same way?

Is this some kind of a disease?

Doesn't matter now, but Lloyd should have but Simon is a gay

Rachel, she just isn't selling to the public they don't like her.

3 times in 4 weeks she has been bottom 2 it was right time, if not she would have only gone to a better singer later on anyway.

Simon rightfully put it to deadlock, i believe they should do that every week, why should 4 people judge who goes out over 14million, after all they are the ones who buy the records.

Lloyd wont win and will be out within 2 weeks anyway.

why?

xDramatick
01-11-2009, 09:21 PM
Rachel.

Marc
01-11-2009, 09:21 PM
why?

Not literally.. but he shouldn't have taken it to Dead Lock its obvious who had more talent, overall and on the night.

Yes Rachel wasn't getting many votes, being in the bottom two 3 times, but its a talent competition and not a popularity contest. Simon's annoyance at the twins clearly shows how he hates the teeny-poppers mass voting, but then he goes and gives Lloyd a second chance when he clearly isn't good enough.

Because those 14 million people are not industry experts - not that Cheryl is - and can't spot artist potential. They vote on looks and personality rather than singing ability. And remember, people vote many, many times, but no one buys more than one copy of a single. The votes are no reflection on who should stay or go.

Lloyd should have gone even though he was struggling with his voice.

Lloyd of course.

Christina
01-11-2009, 09:23 PM
I agree Marc. They may aswell just make it deadlock from now on. If the judges can hardly ever make a decision what's the bloody point?

30stone

I much prefer going with the public choice.

I vote Lucie usually, and i would 100% buy her album if she released one, same with Diana same with Leona.

This public not voting for you argument holds no water for me because Eoghan Quigg had massive support on the show and where is he now? I think his single came 94 in the Irish charts!

Only problem with that is when a good singer is below a crap one in the vote, unless they had an american idol vote where the judges can save 1 person per series if they recieved the lowest amount of votes

That was a great power thing, saved my favourite.

But yeah, they should have it for sure, bit of a waste of voting but it'd stop undeserved shock exits.

Yep, could really help with the Week 5 "curse"

Half the problem lies within the fact that by default, two of the judges can't make a decision because their acts are in the bottom two (apart from weeks where a judge has two acts in the bottom two); so it puts the decision down to the two other judges. ONE judge will give a genuine vote for who they think should go; and the other one will chicken out of being the bad guy and take it to deadlock.

The judges should not be getting a say in this; they are redundant.

Are you kidding! Those 4 judges have better taste than the general public. Too many teenage hormones voting these days. Without the judges - talented people need not apply - just untalented teenage boys.

Rachel is a better singer in all fairness, but Simon made a good point, she wasn't getting the votes because people don't like her, so I'm split. I'm glad she went but I'm not sure if she should of..

I don't really get the point in the sing off when they never judge the contestants on those last two performances.

no way... lloyd is by far way more likeable... better voice,, good looks.
i could go on.
this was rachels 3rd time in the bottom 2!!
how could she possibly survive again?! :D

Rachel. Three times in the bottom two, she wouldn't have won, end of.

Also for Lloyd to have gone home on the first time in the bottom two and with a sore throat would've been very unfair.

Good point Rice_square; more often than not they don't even make their decision based on the bottom two performances - what is the point in it?

It's not an easy decision, Rachel was in the bottom 2 three weeks out of four but Lloyd wasn't as good but was ill. I think it was the right decision to go to the public vote as it wouldn't have been fair on either contestant going to a judge's vote. I think I'd have probably sent home Lloyd but then again Rachel was just gonna end up in the bottom 2 next week so I don't actually know.

What has looks got to do with a singing competition. You have confirmed my point - that you vote for who you fancy - not who deserves to win based on talent. How could anyone honestly say that Lloyd is a better singer than Rachel. If you really think that - you need to get your ears tested.

If the best looking young guys are always going to win the show - regardless of talent - the show will collapse as people won't bother any more. The show could end up just like bb. Is that what you want?

For 4 judges to work they need to axe the whole mentor thing and all 4 collectively mentor all 4

I can;t understand how anyone can place Rachel under Lloyd. She's not as likable perhaps or good looking, but he can;t sing to save his life, or place in this competition as proven tonight LOL.
